This is an amazing toy. It makes fun noises that little ones like when they hit anything with it – – even a kitchen pan. I put off getting it because it didn’t look like a regular hammer. I shouldn’t have done that. It’s much better than a more traditional plastic hammer for a nine month old and beyond.

Great for little hands and teethers

My daughter loves this toy hammer. When she's fussy, I give her this hammer and she immediately starts giggling. She loves the sounds and starts carrying it everywhere. The hammer has a textured grip that allows her to hold it easily. There are different sounds and they're not too loud or distracting. My daughter has dropped this toy numerous times and it's still held up. No scratches and it's easy to wash and disinfect. She carries it everywhere she goes. It's lightweight and perfect for toddlers.

Terrible odor- returned
This item had great promise on concept but had a terrible odor when I opened the package. I tried to clean it with a wet cloth with dawn soap and the odor remained. Waited a few days to air it out and still smelled terrible. I returned it as I do not think it is safe to give a baby a toy that has such a horrible plastic/chemical fume smell.

Great Toy!
Loves to bonk his toys with it. Our 9 month old loves this hammer. Not sure what the other reviewer was talking about when they mentioned cheap plastic smell?! Who smells their toys anyways? And how can you tell what cheap plastic vs non cheap plastic even smells like. Strange!

Super smelly!!! Once u open the package u can smell that disgusting cheap plastic smell! And it’s too big n heavy for a baby to play!
