Q: How do u make the light work? I know u put batteries but is there like a button?

A: When the lightbulb is facing up, it should turn on automatically. When you flip the lightbulb to face downward, the microscope is illuminated by the reflection of the light in the room, or the sun. So all you have to do is swivel it upward. This just changes the color of the lense. You can’t see absolutely anything through it at all. It’s kind of like if you grabbed some dirty glasses and stuck crepe paper to them. Just a different color blur. Actually you’d probably get more detail from that than this microscope. Super disappointed with purchase.

Absolutely garbage, the slides were scratched, the light is frustrating to see and the lenses are flawed. Will be returning ASAP. Do not buy this as a gift to get children interested in science as it will probably repel them from it.

So cheap put batteries in the light didn’t work and the spring where you put the batteries broke and overall it was so small and cheap

Doesn’t really work that well - weak magnification and blurry. None of the suggested experiments worked due to poor magnification.

Terrible quality of the entire product makes it impressive to focus on anything. If you get this for a kid going they will get interested in science, I honestly think this will have the opposite effect.

Awful! Bought as a Xmas gift, but the thing wasn’t made right. There was no terminal for the batteries, therefore no electricity for the light. 🤦🏻♀️ I’m guessing that’s why so many review say the light doesn’t work. Just don’t buy it.

This thing is terrible. The slides are all scratched, the lenses are terrible quality. All you can see are flaws in the product when trying to focus, and it’s almost impossible to get the specimen in focus.
