Description
Our engineers have maxed out this model with the most power and widest clearing width for best-in-class performance in an electric unit. The Snow Joe eco-friendly SJ627E snow blower combines the power of gas with the performance of an electric for unlimited snow-shredding power. The 15-amp unit is ideal for clearing large driveways and walkways without the hassle of gas, oil, tune-ups, and frustrating pull-cords, and starts instantly and reliably with the push of a button. Simply plug in, squeeze the trigger - and go! Equipped with an all-steel auger, 4-ply rubber padding, and 4 heavy-duty rubber-tipped blades, SJ627E moves a massive amount of snow - up to an incredible 840 lbs per minute - while clearing a path up to 22-inches wide by 13-inches deep in a single pass. SJ627E features an adjustable chute that rotates 180 degrees to direct the snow stream up to 25 feet away and features a durable scraper bar at the base of the unit to clear to the ground without damaging your deck, driveway, or pavement. Compared to heavier gas machines, SJ627E weighs just 35 lbs, so you can easily maneuver it around your property, or carry it to clear snow from the deck. For safer nighttime snow removal, SJ627E features dual-integrated LED headlights to brighten the way for increased nighttime visibility.

Guests are saying
This snow blower is praised for its efficiency and lightweight design, making it easy to operate and assemble. Guests appreciate its performance in light snow conditions, with many noting its reasonable price and lack of maintenance needs. However, concerns arise regarding durability, particularly with plastic components and the availability of replacement parts. Overall, it serves well for light snow but may struggle with heavier accumulations, making it ideal for specific climates.

I have found the Snow Thrower Model SJ627E to be an excellent value for its price, and it performs just as it is intended to. It has been effective in snow up to 7.5,” performing much better than I had expected. If you live in a place with relatively moderate winters, as I do, I think you’ll find this product quite useful. Of course it has its limitations, but what piece of equipment doesn’t?

I bought this snowblower last year and.used it for the first time during a very heavy snowfall this week. It worked extremely well but works best in two to three inches of snow. We got a total of thirteen inches of snow so we went out three times during the snowfall to clear the driveway and sidewalk. The only complaint I have is that the large plastic wing nuts that hold the folding handles together kept loosening up so I added washers and a lock washer to each bolt.

The unit seems to be made of cheap materials. There is a design flaw, that when the chute is at a 45 degree, it shoots a stream of snow backwards where there is a gap. If the chute is pointing is pointing forward, it shoots it back to the operator. Snow Joe can you please look into this and have a retro fit kit available. Other than the 2 issues I found, the unit works great and gets the job.

Don’t buy this. It works fine, until something like the pulley dies. Then there are no replacements for this part.

Terrible product. Doesn't work on my gravel driveway. Doesn't work on my grass courtyard. Used it twice and I won't try to sell it because I don't want to pass it on to someone else.

Lightweight and difficult to maneuver. Must make multiple passes to get snow down to level you still have to shovel to remove completely. Made a mistake thinking this could actually work. 2 - 4 inches is maximum height to remove snow. If snow is any higher than that, it's an exercise in futility.

Don’t buy. The scrapper blade has not been available for over a year. When this breaks it shoots snow out the bottom. I have rechecked the the website every few months.

I have a sb27e snow blower. The auger broke and I can’t get a replacement. Have been on list to be contacted when in stock. It’s an item they still sell and wonder why no parts.

many parts are plastic, and when they break there are no parts available, you then have an unusable blower

Good tool for dry/cold snow climates, but not up to the task for wet/heavy/slushy accumulations typical of Sierras, Arizona, Upper Mid-West and N.E.. Plastic lower handle breaks if left outside below 35 degrees and chute shaft end knob falls off easily. I bought Snow Joe for use In Arizona at 5000 ft elevation and it was fine with up to about 3-5" so long as I cleared before the snow "set"--moving to gas powered machine with more torque. Snow Joe will go to my deck.

The scraper blade cracked the firs time I used it. Broke off completely the second. 2 Years later and I still can't get a replacement. I now have a snow blower I can't use.
Lack of parts availability is unforgiveable.

No Parts for Me - 1 year ago

I got this at the end of last winter needing to use it only a single time in some light snow after I got it. This year we finally got a snow so I got this snowblower out. Unlike a traditional snow blower there was nothing to service, I simply plugged it in and started blowing snow from the driveway. I was very happy about that. Unfortunately I didn't get to finishing using the blower as it injested a piece of ice from the snow plows that had gone by on the road. This cracked the thin steel of the auger rendering it unusuable. Normally, I'd have some choice words and would order the replacement part. Not with Snow Joe. Apparently parts are not a concern as according to reviews I've seen in researching both on this site and elsewhere, several parts haven't been available for YEARS. Not weeks or months.... YEARS! Looking at the parts for this model today there are way more parts that are out of stock than in stock. So, it appears that I've wasted my money and learned an expensive lesson. I'll be avoiding this brand in the future.
No parts available.

I'm on my 3rd winter with the SJ627E; and up until now, it's been a solid performer. It handles just about every type of snow that you can throw at it. It's weakness is packing snow and slush. While it can tackle packing snow, the chute tends to get blocked with snow more frequently than I'd like (every single stage electric snow blower suffers from that problem). When dealing with slush, it can clear that too, but it doesn't throw as far as snow (same with all single stage snow blowers). I can confirm that the SJ627E made clearing even deep snow (15 inches) a much easier job than were I to shovel it. Since this unit wasn't designed for snow that deep, you can't just plough through it. It takes a technique that requires you to step forward and back a few times, before you can continue clearing more snow ahead. The one thing that prevents me from giving it a 5 star rating is the fact that there appear to be some parts (aside from the auger) are designed to wear after about 3 years. They're user replaceable parts, but only if you can get them. The puller and belt both seem to be permanently out of stock. If they ever do get back in stock, I'll be getting more than one of each!
