I have had this knife for about six months and love it. It opens with the flip of the thumb with very little effort. Great for edc.

Just picked this knife up at Bass Pro today, great size, seems like a good durable blade that is sharp enough, seeing reviews about it being hard to open but that is not the case with mine.
Get used to opening it and it’s a great knife.

I’ve had this and other SOG knives for some years now and yes they can be discouraging at first because they are tough to open. I have gotten used to using my thumb and forefinger to open them and that seems to work out fine. It would be nice if SOG did have a better cut out under the studs. Overall I do enjoy the SOG folders that I have.

This is a very nice knife. I really like it. However, you literally cannot open it with your thumb. It’s assisted opening, after you use your other hand to start opening it.
Definitely needs improvement.

The knife didn't want to open easily when I received it. It took two hands to open. I had to open and close it quite a few times to break it in. The design could be improved by recession the handle with a thumb groove in the direction the blade opens. The blade opens and locks every time but it could use a stronger spring. If I had held it in my hand first instead of ordering it I wouldn't have bought it.

Got if for Christmas 2022 and was not disappointed, been my EDC since. Great action and edge, and by great edge I mean sharp as hell. Only thing is the blade release (crossbar lock I believe) rattles a bit. That is the only thing though

I had my knife for about a year and the action that kept it opened and closed has stopped working on the knife. I had not used the knife for anything outside of everyday use I wish that the quality of the action would have been better and lasted longer but the blade and the handle felt like they were sturdy and had expected a few years out of that knife but after minimal daily use it stoped working and would lock shut but not say open and was honestly disappointed with the quality of the knife after I had heard such good things about it

Bought as a gift for my brother, he wanted mine (Spec Elite Auto II) but I cannot find it anywhere. So I got him one that was somewhat close to the same operation and/or dimensions. He still loves and does not want to buy outside of SOG. Great job SOG team.

I've been a fan of your EDC blades since the Flash II (I own 3 of them). I would give this new Flash 5 stars were it not for one aspect of the design. You see, I really liked that you used larger than typical "T" fasteners on the Flash II's as I can use a driver of any quality on those to disassemble for maintenance. On your newer Flash AT the fasteners are the more typical T7? size and unless I use a special German made driver any other bit or driver I have bought will strip (not the fastener mind you, the driver bit itself!). I've always found that annoying for any EDC, not just this one. So basically I feel like you can improve the Flash AT by using larger T-size fastener like you did on the old Flash II's. Then this knife would be PERFECT.

I bought this knife over a year ago and i have carried it on my person every day. It came wicked sharp and held that edge for several months. I regularly cut card board boxes and this knife takes it like a champ.
