About the Book

"Ellis and Easton have been inseparable since childhood. But when a rash decision throws Ellis's life--and her relationship with Easton-- into chaos she's forced to move halfway across the country, far from everything she's ever known. Now Ellis hasn't spoken to Easton in a year, and maybe it's better that way; maybe eventually the Easton shaped hole in her heart will heal. But when Easton's mother invites her home for a celebration, Ellis finds herself tangled up in the web of heartache, betrayal, and anger she left behind... and with the boy she never stopped loving"--

Ellis and Easton have been inseparable since childhood. But when a rash decision throws Ellis's life--and her relationship with Easton--into chaos, she's forced to move halfway across the country, far from everything she's ever known.

Now Ellis hasn't spoken to Easton in a year, and maybe it's better that way; maybe eventually the Easton-shaped hole in her heart will heal.

But when Easton's mom invites her home for a visit, Ellis finds herself tangled up in the web of heartache, betrayal, and anger she left behind . . . and with the boy she never stopped loving.

I’m speechless. Kristin Dwyer, you have wrecked me. I made the mistake, pun intended, of starting this book before bed. Needless to say, I didn’t go to sleep for awhile. BUT, it was worth it. Easton and Ellis were worth the lack of sleep. The main thing I look for in a book is a connection with the characters and the story. I instantly felt connected to Ellis. Dwyer draws you in immediately and she doesn’t let go until the very last word on the final page. This story is about growing up, finding yourself, first love, heartbreak, and family expectations. If Some Mistakes Were Made isn’t on your TBR, please go and add it right now. You won’t regret it. I knew from the first couple sentences that I was going to love this book. I was right. Not only did I fall in love with this book, it’s also one of my favorite reads of 2022. Now I need to go buy a physical copy.
