There is a lot of pretend play with it by creating new adventures. The assembly is straightforward and easy to follow instructions. The design is overall colorful, and parts look sturdy and durable. The head and arms spinning feature is pretty cool. There are few features like the projectile cannon arms, which I, as an adult, found a bit tedious because you have to pull the yellow part of the robot arm away from the robot to fire. But once my kids got the hang of it, that was fun. They played for a few hours, and we loved watching their imagination. Definitely, it’s a high-quality toy, but it would have been more fun if there were more figurines. Overall, it's ok to have.

Egg robot rotates 360* and has break-apart functionality. It has projectile cannon arms and kids can recreating scenes from the Sonic movies. This toy is for 3+ yo kids. It is very safe and has easy assembly. Quality is good. Its size is big but there is not much to do with it. It couldn’t keep my kids entertained for more than 5 mins.

I’d recommend this toy for kids around that age and up. It does fall apart a bit easily, and even my son has limited patience for putting it back together. If you don’t have carpets, be prepared for some noise—there’s a lot of hard plastic hitting the floor. That said, it’s a safe toy with no small parts, and it has an old-school feel that encourages imagination. I really appreciate that it doesn’t make any sounds—your child has to create the sound effects themselves, which is great for creative play. Despite all the crashing, it’s surprisingly durable. My son’s favorite part is easily launching the cannon arms, he does it over and over! Overall, I’d recommend it, especially if your child is a Sonic fan.

With enough hits, the eggman robot “explodes”. My toddler thought this was amazing and had so much fun playing with this toy. I love that it’s not battery operated and therefore results in more independent and creative play as it’s open ended. The pieces are well made and sturdy. I like that there are more sonic figures that we can collect too. Would make a great birthday or Christmas gift !

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] We received this Hammer Egg Robot Deluxe Playset from Jakks Pacific and Influenster in exchange for our honest opinion. Sonic is becoming a pretty big deal with our almost 4 yr old and this set has seen lots of playtime. It's pretty straightforward to put the Hammer Egg Robot together. Our little guy can pretty much do it on his own (needs a bit of help with the legs sometimes) and the pieces are well made (not thin and chinsey). The swiveling rocket cannon arms are a huge hit (luckily they don't hurt if you are in the line of fire). The "button" Sonic is to hit doesn't really defeat the robot without some adult assistance but he doesn't mind. The Sonic figure itself is far smaller but has moveable limbs and head. Overall, he has had so much fun with this. Both characters have great detailing and vibrant colors. This set has been thoroughly used and shows no signs of breakage.

It was easy to assemble, although it is a little bit tricky to get the legs back in place just because it’s hard for the kids, but other than that it is a very durable strong toy! They played for a long time together and it was great because it their imagination was really going! I wish that it had another little figurine along with sonic but thankfully, we have all those little figurines. I love watching their imagination go with this toy! And they play so well together!
