Truly cinematic sound experience at home
The BRAVIA Theatre Quad completely transformed my living room into a cinema. The 360 Spatial Sound Mapping is unbelievable, it really feels like sound is coming from every direction, even behind you. Pairing it with my BRAVIA TV was effortless, and Dolby Atmos brings movies and music to life with incredible clarity and depth. Build quality is premium, setup was straightforward, and the wireless sub hits perfectly. Worth every penny!

Not Bluetooth connect through your Internet sucks
They go through the Internet for connection so if you have crappy Internet connection, they’re no good would never buy them again. The best are wired in systems.

The system uses a robust wireless connection between the control box and the speakers, and for initial setup and updates, it does require a stable home Wi-Fi network. To improve the connection stability, please try going into the Sony | BRAVIA Connect app under Settings - Wireless Speaker Connection Settings and select the "Priority on Stable Connection" option. This setting is often very effective at minimizing dropouts in environments with heavy Wi-Fi traffic. Come on... You can't even find a decent dedicated center channel in this Quad/Soundbar to deliver accurate, crystal-clear dialogue/vocals – and like, 80% of movies and shows are all about dialogue, right? So shouldn't it be like, a basic requirement for any Soundbar or Quad to have a dedicated center channel/speaker? But nope 🙄, instead these things come with PHANTOM ("pseudo speakers"). Do we really need to "enjoy" this artificial, pseudo audio/sound/dialogue from PHANTOMS 🤪 – all illusion 😅, hypnotic 😂😂, black magic... 🤣🤣🤣

Regarding your question, connecting two SA-SW5 subwoofers to the HT-A9M2 is not supported. The HT-A9M2 system allows for only one subwoofer connection at a time, whether it is the SA-SW3 or the SA-SW5 model. Just what I was looking for.
Bought and returned the Sonos Arc Ultra because it lack the surround sound feel without buying a load more speakers. How could I resist this at that price! Brilliant! The only thing missing is voice control on the unit, without connecting via Bluetooth.

Can't Update Software and Can't Optomize
I tried multiple times to do the software update. It is so slow (only up to 1% in half hour) that I canceled it. I am updating over the same WiFi Network that streams the video stream to my TV so, I don't think the network is the problem. I tried multiple times to run "Optimize". I always returns: could not determine distance to speakers. Since my rear speakers are wall mounted beside some cabinets, my furniture configuration could be the problem. However, I would expect a distance determining utility would be able to accomidate that.

We would recommend trying to perform some troubleshooting steps that might come useful: - Try using a different device to install the app and install the software update. - Try using a different network, or mobile data to complete the installation. - Perform a reset on the Home Theater control box: Press and hold (power) on the control box for more than 10 seconds. - Perform a reset on the speakers: Press and hold LINK on the bottom of the speaker for more than 10 seconds. The power indicator on the speaker flashes slowly in red and the reset starts. The power indicator on the speaker flashes in green and amber alternately when the reset is completed. After the reset is completed, disconnect the AC power cord (mains lead) for the speaker from the AC outlet (mains), then reconnect the AC power cord (mains lead) for the speaker after the power indicator on the speaker turns off. Impressive sound immersion
I bought this system a few months ago and have been very happy with the sound immersion I get from it. The setup was really easy, especially if you have a Sony TV. The HDMI input has been very useful if you have an old TV without eARC. I do feel that dialogue clarity can be improved when not using voice mode. Dialogues were much more clear in my previous Sonos soundbar. I am not using center sync. One feature request I have is to add Tidal Connect support to the device for spatial audio (Dolby Atmos) music streaming. While Apple Airplay is great, not everyone has an iPhone. At least this system supports the LDAC protocol for Bluetooth, so Bluetooth is not that bad, but it won't support Dolby Atmos. For high quality and spatial music, Tidal Connect would be ideal. Another enhancement could be to output more information on the audio received. For example, "Dolby Atmos" does not currently say whether it is TrueHD or EAC-3. DTS does however say whether it is HD or not. Likewise, Bluetooth, Airplay, etc. also don't say much on the bitrate, etc. of the signal being received.

Best surround sound
[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] These speakers are just phenomenal, the surround sound performance is out of this world. It immerses you into your media and the app allows to extract more audio from any source, even Netflix, HBO, etc. I was able to easily connect the system together and manage it all on the app. The Bluetooth connection and Spotify works well. The clarity in the sound is amazing.

High quality sound system
[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] Firstly, the packaging is impeccable. There were a few things floating around inside the box, but overall, everything was presented in a way that made the entire set up process so seamless and easy, along with ensuring the speakers are protected during transit. I was a little concerned that the paper instructions were so brief, but the app used to sync the speakers was pretty easy to use and I liked that it guided you through the entire process from start to finish. I don't usually enjoy having to download a new app or create an account for every little piece of technology I own, but the extra controls in the app made it worth it. We decided not to mount them to the walls for now, opting to just stand them on their base, so installation was done in about 30 minutes. We've already had our first movie night using these speakers and the sound was extremely high quality and definitely improved our overall experience. It almost felt like we were in a movie theater, but within the comforts of our own home. And listening to music on these speakers is out of this world! My toddler has been asking for dance parties every day since we installed these speakers. Overall, we are very happy with the quality and ease of use of the speakers. They blend in pretty nicely with the rest of the decor in our living room, so they're not a distraction, but still provide a top notch sound quality. Would definitely recommend to anyone looking for a surround sound system.

It is the perfect flexible solution for my home because we didn’t have speakers installed and were seeking an impressive audio experience without all the hassle and install needs. They’ve created beautiful and graceful standalone speakers that can float on stands or mount on the wall with a subtle grey fabric covering and sleek metal top. This let us put two on our entertainment console and two flanking our couch for a convenient immersive experience. I love the intelligence of this product to calibrate the sound to my space, and that it supports Dolby Atmos, IMAX Enhanced, and DTS:X formats. I love the adjustability and pairing compatibility with my devices. I was a little skeptical of how these would ship to me direct, but the packaging is amazing. Perfectly protects the whole kit and includes simple instructions for setup. You will be so happy to make this system a part of your home setup.

Good Looking Quality Bravia Theatre Quad
[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] Sony Bravia Theatre Quad is a beautiful well made home theatre system. Upon opening the box and removing contents, you feel the quality of how well each item was made. The 4 speakers look sleek and are a good substantial weight, so no worries about them tipping over. I opted to place them free standing in 4 corner areas of the room. Setup did take some time. I downloaded the app on my phone and then connected all the speakers via Bluetooth. Although I do not have a Sony brand tv, I was still able to connect it with my smart tv. They were then easily controlled from my phone or the remote control. I did some sound testing via the app as instructed. The app also offers additional settings, such as adjusting the subwoofer and rear speakers' volume, enabling dialogue mode, surround and night modes. I really like how the system looks in my space. I hear depths and variations of the sounds, background noise, and voices thru the speakers like we’re enveloped by them, immersed in the action of the movie we are watching. The reason I gave it 4 out of 5 stars is due to the hefty price tag.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] At first I was a little confused about the 16 speakers, but the 4 boxes. Then I realized there are 4 speakers inside each of the 4 bigger speakers which gives the 16! Definitely easier to put 4 speakers around the house than 16! So this was a pretty amazing product to be able to receive and review! Whenever I read reviews from people who got to test a product I’m considering buying that’s pricey, I’m always like how?? Sony is a great and reputable brand that makes quality products. Customer service is great too as they make products they believe in. All my speakers arrived in brand new condition and were easy to assemble and put together. If you want to amplify your living space, this will take you to that next level. We upgraded to a really large tv a couple years ago and got a sound bar. Although our soundbar wasn’t cheap, I don’t feel like it made a huge difference overall. With these external speakers, it really takes you to that next level of sound and quality movie theater experience!
