Immediately out the package material is a little scratchy not soft. Once washed it was a little softer, hoping after another wash it will get even softer. Either way my son loves it so I am happy. And it is worth the money for us!

I like the design but the material is scratchy. After a wash and some use, there’s also some light fading already. Otherwise, it’s great and I appreciate the internal ties to connect to the duvet insert.

After reading the bad reviews on the comforter in the same design; we stumbed across this duvet cover. We don't have a duvet insert, but we just used a twin comforter we already had. Worked perfectly! Sure, the cotton isn't the softest ever, but for the price, it's what we were expecting. Plus it's 100% cotton, so we know it will soften up over time. Also, we prefer cotton over synthetic textiles for our children (and ourselves).

The fabric is so rough it would be almost like sleeping on sandpaper. I tried washing it to soften it up but it didn’t help much.

So I have had a few of these duvets in various colors and styles. I love these. They are a little scratchy at first like a lot of cotton, but they do get soft after 10 to 20 washes. I don't use fabric softener, just vinegar, and they do get soft. I have even bleached a few of the striped ones and the colors haven't faded much at all. Great duvet cover at a fantastic price. I love being able to wash the cover weekly with my sheets and only washing my duvet every six months. I do put the duvet in the dryer for 20 minutes to kill dust mites, but a lot cleaner than a bulky plastic comforter. Also safer because most plastic aka polyester has endocrine disruptors and I want my child as healthy as possible.

The print is cute and my 4yo loved it, but all the fuzzies from everything else stick to it. They don't come off in the laundry. Ours also got a huge tear in it and is garbage at this point.

Love that this set is 100% cotton. I wish the matching sheets were too instead of being microfiber.

Give this duvet 2 stars for the design. The material feels dull and cheap. Would’ve preferred it to have a Sherpa texture.

Our toddler LOVED his new bedding. Much softer than the set we got at another Scandinavian big box. Exactly as described and the perfect addition to his room.

My son gets too warm at night using a comforter. So, this duvet cover is perfect for him. The material is strong. It is the perfect amount between thin and thick to keep him comfortable. He absolutely loves the space theme as well.

I love this duvet cover. Very well made. Will last for many years. 100% cotton. it’s soft like a quilt and very sturdy material for kids. Been waiting a long time for space themed stuff. This is the best space duvet and set I’ve seen. Target new line beats their competitors and even high end retailers. I love 100% cotton items. It’s breathable.

We also have the matching rug which is nice. I took a star off because there are no ties inside the duvet cover. My kid is a rough sleeper so that could be a personal preference. It is soft and breathable. Material is good for homes in areas with all seasons.

I got the space duvet bedding and my son loves it, the bedding is very soft and comfortable, easy to wash, perfect for kids who like designs on their bedding, the quality is great and so is the value, perfect for a twin size bed.

My first reaction when I pulled this out was that the fabric was rough BUT after a wash, it softened up and I’m SO glad because this is THE CUTEST space print ever. My kids love it and I love it. Sometimes space patterns can get a little tacky but this one is a mix of realistic and whimsical and is adorable. Love that it comes with a pillowcase and I just wish they made a coordinating blanket for this set.

Very cute cover . Fast colors..held up good at the first wash. Just hope the color doesn't fade. Great price and pattern for the price in 100 percent cotton .

So I did not read description well and thought this was a pillow case and COMFORTER but a duvet is like a sheet and you can either use it that way or stuff the inside of it with fluff or cotton or whatever. Either way I will keep it but I’m still not happy about it not being a comforter. Also the material is very cheaply made which is why it probably cost $20 bucks each and not $40 and up :/ DEFINITION OF DUVET: The main difference between a duvet and comforter is that a comforter is just one piece of bedding while a duvet requires two separate pieces — an insert and cover. A comforter is usually quilted with the filling evenly distributed, while a duvet has an insert that works as the fill.
