Should you wish to use a different bulb, the item may be purchased without light bulbs. Each shade is 5.75” in height, with an opening at the bottom of 5.25” in diameter. A: Hello Judy - Thank you for your interest in this floor lamp. The switch cover may have fallen off the actual switch in transit. I apologize for this inconvenience. Please try pushing the switch cover on the switch such that the cover is flush with the main body/stem of the lamp. If this does not work, please reach out to the manufacturer by calling 1-800-440-0680. They can help advise on replacement parts, a new lamp, or fixing your current product if this does not work. A: Hi Michelle, These lights are not dimmable, there is only one setting for the brightness of the bulbs. This lamp has a 4 way rotary switch, so each of the three lights can be turned on individually or all together. Hope this helps!
