A: Thanks for your interest in this Sport-Brella product! This model was designed to be used as a ground-level shelter in its leaning configuration, or as a vertical umbrella when properly anchored in terrain such as sand, dirt, and grass, in order to help provide shade for up to 3-4 people. It was not designed to be used as a personal umbrella for one person and has not been tested for such use. It measures about 54 inches long by 4 inches in diameter and weighs about 9 pounds when packed inside its included carry bag. For products designed to provide shade for one person, we recommend exploring our collection of Sport-Brella Versa-Brella models.
