In Sport Is Life with the Volume Turned Up, Joan Cronan offers a refreshing and innovative perspective on strengthening performance and achieving success in both the business world and everyday life. During her twenty-eight years as Women's Athletics Director for the University of Tennessee, Cronan built one of the most prominent and respected women's athletics programs in the nation, resulting in ten NCAA titles and twenty-four SEC Tournament Championships for the Lady Vols during her tenure. Cronan's lighthearted stories and succinct business tips will draw you in until you feel like you are present for every victory she describes on the court and in the workplace. "Joan's vision, passion, and tireless efforts to grow women's athletics and to promote women's opportunities have made a huge difference across the nation for women in sports. Joan was a driving force in elevating the prominence and brand of Tennessee Lady Vol athletics through strategy, excellence, and priceless relationships." --Pat Summitt, legendary Lady Vols basketball coach

"It has been my privilege to observe Joan's leadership skills and to work alongside her in numerous civic endeavors over the years. To put it simply, Joan is a type of person who gets things done because people want to do things with her. During her years as the University of Tennessee Women's Athletic Director, and in the time since she has retired, I have watched as people have repeatedly sought her out for advice, assistance, and encouragement. And we've had a lot of laughs along the way." --Governor Bill Haslam
