Uses

Uses helps prevent sunburn if used as directed with other sun protection measures (see Directions), decreases the risk of skin cancer and early skin aging caused by the sun

Directions

Directions apply liberally 15 minutes before sun exposure reapply: after 80 minutes of swimming or sweating immediately after towel drying at least every 2 hours children under 6 months of age: Ask a doctor Sun Protection Measures. Spending time in the sun increases your risk of skin cancer and early skin aging. To decrease this risk regularly use a sunscreen with a Broad Spectrum SPF value of 15 or higher and other sun protection measures including: limit time in the sun, especially from 10 a.m. - 2 p.m. wear long-sleeved shirts, pants, hats, and sunglasses

I bought the SPF 30 version last year and it was perfect - scent, application, etc. The scent is now more like a strong men’s cologne. I didn’t smell it from the cap but it was strong once applied. Had to return the product it was so bad.

Does the job

I got this on clearance and it works well to keep me protected from the sun. It rubs in well (no white streaks), but does have a strong smell as others have mentioned, most noticeable when applying; I do think it goes away after a bit. I’m more worried about my skin being protected which this does great. I’ll even apply a bit on my face and it doesn’t cause any issues there.

Avoid this!! This is was the best, I'd wear it every day. Now it smells so pungent that I'm going to return it, even for under $6. They shouldn't have changed!!!

Smells like grandma's perfume

I bought this because it was affordable, but I definitely won’t buy it again. Why is there so much obnoxious perfume in it?? The smell is way too strong and completely unnecessary. If you are sensitive to smells, I would avoid this one.

I like the sunscreen, the only difference I notice from the old formula is the smell. To me it smells like men’s cologne, I personally think it smells really good, but I see some people don’t like that. It goes on smooth and doesn’t leave my skin white all day and I don’t get burnt. I love it for summer beach days.

This stuff is absolutely awful! It reeks of urine, and when it got into my eyes it burned for hours. I don't usually leave reviews for products like this, but honestly this needs to get pulled from the shelves.

Smells like cat urine

On top of smelling like cat urine, it also burns extremely bad for a long time if you get it near your eyes. I’ve never experienced such a foul sunscreen. I let a random dad borrow it at the park after I had just bought it, and he asked me what was wrong with it after he applied it to his child. I had to swear that it came this way and I didn’t do anything to it. Never got sunburned while wearing it though, so I guess it served its purpose

Too fragranced! And not a fun one!

Not like the last version of Up and Up, which I've been buying for like a decade, which had a mild scent that smelled, most years, tropical-ish. This is SOOOO strong smelling I cannot use it. My eyes are watering, and I've just used a little on my hands. If I used this on a whole body I think I'd suffocate. And it's like a men's cologne, not like vacation.

New Formula Stinks!

Why did they change the formula? I am sensitive to fragrances and used the older version of this sunscreen religiously. It was the perfect formula for all day sun protection. Now it has an overly pungent smell similar to Raid! Please bring back the old Up & Up version in the white bottle.

HORRIBLE musty smell. Purchased for a vacation south and have no choice but to lather up my pale northern family to protect from sunburn. I wrote this review while my family and I are together in a taxi, and the poor driver keeps sniffing because we REAK from this stuff. Embarrassingly awful lol.... and other reviews say its an added fragrance?? of stale garabe maybe.

Used to Love It, Now I Avoid It. New scent=no thanks

So disappointed. Formula change ruined it for me. I used to love this sunscreen, but the new formula now includes fragrance, and it smells awful. Worse, fragrance can trigger allergies and skin irritation, especially for sensitive skin. Judging by the recent reviews, many customers are unhappy with this change. Please bring back the original fragrance-free formula. This update is a major downgrade.
