A: Hi there! We appreciate your question about using a sprayer with the Spruce Weed and Grass Killer Refill. You can indeed just put the sprayer on it provided it is either the Powered Wand or the Manual Trigger sprayer as the refill is only compatible with these systems. To do this remove the handle by squeezing the buttons then remove the white spacer and the green cap from the bottle. Snap the handle back on top correctly. If you have the Powered Wand slide the switch to unlock and spray and for the Manual Trigger twist the nozzle to unlock and spray. For any further questions please call Spruce at 1-888-398-6055. Finally something pet-safe that actually kills goat heads!
Living out here in West Texas, goat heads can be painful for dog paws. This spray worked great at knocking them down and clearing out the yard. It works with frequent use
This stuff does the trick but the weeds come back much faster than other unsafe brands. We have a sweet labradoodle though and I don’t want to risk spraying something else that she might ingest and get sick. I do have to use this with more frequency than I would other products and it’s more pricey. It’s worth the peace of mind.

If you have full or tall weeds, expect to have to spray more than once
This product does a good job killing the weeds above the ground, but the roots are still there & active. I sprayed the worst weeds maybe a week ago, the part above the ground is dead & in a compost bag. Yesterday I noticed some of the "dead" weeds starting to grow again. I resprayed again this morning spraying the ground where the new growth was coming in & spraying any exposed roots.

10/10 would recommend. Picked this up on clearance over the winter. Just used it this Spring. In about a day it melted away all the weeds that got sprayed. Smells minty. I only found the refill at the time, so I used it in a pump sprayer and diluted with about a 1/3 part water and it was still very strong. I would definitely buy it again.

It worked well on smaller, newer weeds and helped keep things from spreading. That said, it didn’t fully eliminate some of the more stubborn, deep-rooted weeds even after multiple applications.
