Q: What is a lightning connector? Do I need to buy one or is this included?
A: Great question. The Lightning connector is used to connect Apple mobile devices like iPhones, iPads, and iPods to other devices. This is not an attachment, its a description of the type of connector on the reader.

Q: Can this be used with no wifi? Can this be used with i phone 12 s? What if people have the chip card, can they still just swipe, or do you need additional equipment?
A: Hi Crafter - Great Questions... we've Got answers! The Magstripe reader allows you to accept cards using the Square App which can be used with Wifi or Cellular Data. The Lightning Connector is compatible with the iPhone 12, but does not accept chip cards. If you're interested in accepting chip cards check out our Contactless and Chip Card Reader.

Q: Does the 2.6% plus .10 charge get applied to the cardholder or the seller?
A: I went to Squareup.com and there is a thorough explanation of fees and payments. I read that the fees are the responsibility of the seller. They also have a 3-minute video that explains in better detail.
