This blend was introduced in 1998 for those who prefer a milder cup. A shade lighter than most of our offerings—more toasty than roasty—it was the result of playing with roast and taste profile together for a flavor that appealed to a wider range of palates. Q: Can you use this in a French Press?

  • A: You can if it's finely ground, it just wouldn't be as good as a more coursely ground alternative. I'm guessing when it says ground it means it's finely ground. I'd buy the whole beans honestly.

Starbucks pre-ground coffee is a medium grind, perfect for a drip coffee maker.  Typically, a coarser grind is used for a French Press for the right extraction and helps prevent coffee grinds from getting through the metal filter.     Starbucks Pods Have “Just Right” Flavor

    [This review was collected as part of a promotion.] Starbucks Decaf House Blend Coffee Pods are my go-to coffee. Why? Well, it’s because unlike the many other coffee pods I’ve tried, Starbucks pods have a flavor that is just right—not too weak and not too strong. I would describe the flavor as a mild earthiness. When I close my eyes I feel as if I’m sitting on the back porch in the morning after an overnight rainstorm. There’s a certain freshness to the air that you can taste. Think of fresh cut hay. Earthy and good. Decaf is important for those who don’t need to aggravate their blood pressure any further, and single serve pods are great for a quick brew for a busy person or when you don’t have any coffee drinking partners. Hands down the best pods. #ad #freesample

    [This review was collected as part of a promotion.] Wow, what a difference good coffee makes! I've been buying store brand K-cups for a very long time now and thought they were just fine. Well, compared to the Starbucks Breakfast Blend, they taste like weak, watery mud. This test may have ruined me because I don't want to go back. These pods brew a strong but balanced cup with just the right level of caffeine for me. Way better than expected since I don't usual go for Starbucks, too. They knocked this one out of the park.
