Highlights

  • French Roast is smoky and singular-the pure, explosive flavor of our darkest roast
  • Darker-roasted coffees have fuller body with robust, bold taste
  • Enjoy Starbucks at home. The coffee you love without leaving the house
  • For best taste, always use clean, filtered water; clean your machine before using; and grind beans just before brewing
  • Each pack includes one 12oz bag of whole-bean Starbucks coffee
Muted with oil, the tumbling beans become eerily silent. A master roaster watches, knowing that if he pushes them a second too long, they'll burst into flame. White smoke hangs down as the glistening beans turn ebony. This is French Roast and you can't roast it darker. Straightforward, light-bodied with low acidity, and immensely popular since 1971, our darkest roast is adored for its intense smokiness. Committed to 100% Ethical Sourcing in partnership with Conservation International.

I just tried the Italian Roast (way too bitter and lacking any real flavor) and the Cafe Verona (wow - what a HORRIBLE lingering aftertaste). So, I no longer have to mak...see moreof the reviewer's review

Starbucks' Dark French Roast was the best coffee in the marketplace. I have been trying to find another Starbucks coffee that is as good and cannot come close. I still cannot believe I can no longer get a Clover-brewed Dark French Roast coffee.see moreof the reviewer's review
