I like my coffee nice and strong and bold. Which is what this coffee is. There is no bitterness at all. This is a free sample sent to me for my honest review. This coffee is one of my favorites. The percolator makes great coffee. No complaints in this household. I highly recommend!

Once i open the bag it smells horrible, not just burnt something smells like dirt, i had to proceed tho and try it and it didn’t taste good as well. The packaging however is nice easy to open/reclose.

However, I was deeply disappointed with the aroma and the flavor. It's too harsh of a flavor, almost acrid. Like burnt tasting. And the aroma, I know there is a smoke component in it, but I was hoping there would be some sort of caramel scent and nothing. I did like that it was a dark roast and the packaging is nice, but it's just not my style. #ad #freesample

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I got the chance to try the Starbucks French Roast as a #freesample and it was absolutely delicious. It is one of the best French roast coffees that I have tried in a ground form. You can taste all of the notes of caramel and smoke, and you can just tell that the coffee is sourced from wonderful coffee beans. I think of the different Starbucks ground coffees that I’ve tried in the past this one is definitely my favorite. It had been a while since I had purchased this one and when I drank it again, I was kind of disappointed with myself that it had been such a while since I’ve had it because it’s just so good. And I’m someone that adds creamer to their coffee and even with the creamer, you still can taste the bold and richness of the coffee and that’s another reason why I love it.

The second pot, I added just a bit less grounds. It turned out better. It is a bit oily and that is the reason for the 4 stars. I would recommend this product for people that like a bold cup of coffee.
