  • A: Thanks for your question, Sharon. We use ethyl acetate direct process. In the ethyl acetate process, we begin by steaming the beans, which draws the caffeine to the surface; ethyl acetate is then added to the beans to extract the caffeine. After the caffeine is removed, we steam the beans again, and then we’re ready for roasting.

    Folgers Columbian

    Folgers Columbian is the only brand we use in our household. It has the best flavor out of all the other Folgers and definitely much better than Maxwell House, Starbucks and other brands. I appreciate that Target often has it on sale. When on sale I purchase multiple cans.

    Great taste.....terrible cost!

    My family and I have been a Folders family since before I was born and I still love it to this day. I understood the price increase with Covid and the tariffs but those are gone for the most part and we're still paying 3 to 4 times the price as before. I still but it when I can, sometimes it's on sale enough for me to buy it but it shouldn't be that way. I shouldn't have to choose some cheap store brand coffee or other equivalent. A couple dollars I can understand but the prices now are just ridiculous. If you can't bring the price down maybe offer some direct to consumer options. Anything to help a forever loyal customer. Like I said we love it when we can which seems to me less and less everyday.

    Terrible Customer Service

    Package arrived damaged - one of two coffee canisters was open with contents mostly spilled out into the shipping box. Attempted twice to file a report with photos via the "fix an issue" web link but link would not work. Called the 800 customer service number and the first CSR hung up on me. Called again and was asked by CSR if I still had the damaged item- told him not really as explained above. Was then told the problem would be escalated for resolution and to expect an email within 3-5 days explaining what next steps would be. Received the email within 10 minutes stating package was delivered as promised and nothing more would be done. I could return the damaged item to any Target store and obtain a refund. Again, see above for condition of item that makes this impractical. I'm am grateful to be mostly a Wal-Mart shopper as I'm not sure I will ever set foot in a Target store or shop on-line ever again.

    I love this coffee I can't wait to get more!!

    Needed coffee but not a lot of money so I pick up the 7 single serve packets Folgers instant dark roast and I am so happy with this coffee I've tried it regular and iced (I like the iced best). Please try this product it is so bold and smooth aroma is good and the consistency was good it blends well!!

    I've been drinking Folgers all my adult life. My parents also used Folgers most of their life. I love coffee from specialty coffee brands but my morning go to is Folgers. Sometimes I will mix it with some of the specialty coffees I like. I highly recommend Folgers!

    The new taste that Folgers refuses to acknowledge is so obvious to coffee drinkers that the Folgers people must not drink coffee. It is bitter, too strong, and lacks the well known flavor. What a way to ruin what was a superb coffee roast. Time to go hunting again……
