Coffee is my "comfort routine" and I have been drinking it since Nursing school in the late '80's I decided to treat myself to this "mini brew" programmable, 5 cup and auto pause/shut-off Mr Coffee. I have never bought this brand before, but decided they are the "original", so let's go back to that place After a quick prep (wash carafe etc and run one water cycle) the coffee maker was programmed for the new pack of coffee I opened I calmly waited for the entire amount to brew and poured my first cup Temperature was great and taste was amazing!! It took me back to my first time I had tried coffee and loved it so many years ago Seriously, I am thrilled with this item and cannot wait to enjoy it for years to come

5 cup Mr coffee comes without basket
Buyers be aware and read all of the description and specs. The price I paid for this coffee maker on sale was no bargain because I assumed the reusable mesh basket would naturally be included. I had to spend more money plus shipping to get the reusable insert basket to make my first cup of coffee. This was a deal breaker and not worth the price paid.

Over promise on when the item will arrive
When I placed the order yesterday it says arrives today… now it says arriving tomorrow and there’s no info from the carrier UPS because they haven’t created a label…you over promise on when items will arrive, and the arrival date is a big part of why I ordered from target. This keeps happening and is not a good way to do business. Disappointed

This coffee maker makes legitimately the worst coffee I’ve ever had in my life. I’ve been drinking coffee for over a decade and this one is the worst I’ve ever used. Somehow routinely burns the coffee while also not making it hot. Every cup of coffee is lukewarm and a strong, burnt mess no matter what kind of grounds you use or how much. I guess you get what you pay for.

It works reliably for basic brewing—coffee comes out hot and consistent, and the machine is simple to use with minimal fuss. Many users appreciate its small footprint for tight kitchens. However, the big caveat is the carafe’s “dishwasher-safe” claim. While the glass carafe, lid, and filter basket are marketed as dishwasher-safe (and official cleaning instructions suggest hand-washing with mild soap but allow dishwasher use for removable parts), real-world experience shows issues. The aluminum ring (or band) around the carafe that secures/aligns the handle can loosen or slide during the dishwasher cycle due to heat, agitation, or detergent. This often causes the handle and lid to become misaligned, off-kilter, or loose, making pouring awkward or risky (potential for spills). Once shifted, it may not snap back perfectly, leading to frustration. Don’t make the mistake I did—hand wash the carafe instead. Stick to gentle hand washing to avoid this common problem.
