  • A: HOW LONG? When Running Cleaning "Cycle" before first use of actual coffee - I timed the time for 10 cups of water to fill carafe > at about 9.5 min or simply about 1 minute PER CUP ! (with no filter, NO Coffee ONLY WATER)

    Great Little Coffee Maker

    Our favorite coffee maker for years. When our previous one died after many years of service, we tried a fancier model, but its automatic brew feature malfunctioned on the 2nd day, leaving a partial pot of lukewarm coffee and a big puddle of water on the counter. We returned it and went back to this little workhorse. One tip: put a nspkin on the hot plate when you remove the pot to pour. Otherwise drips will rust the hot plate pretty quickly.

    It worked well, but was fragile. Seven months later, the glass of the carafe cracked, even though it was not dropped, just normal use. The wire that you plug in is also very short, so the coffee pot has to be really close to an outlet.

    Just what we needed!

    Our old coffeemaker died a natural death and honestly, I was happy it did. It was big, bulky and a different brand. I have always trusted Hamilton Beach products and this new coffee maker is wonderful. Thanks for continuing to manufacture excellent products!

    Hard to program to brew at a specific time

    So, bought this in December of 2025 as we moved to a new place, and its a pretty decent coffee maker, however, figuring out how to set it to start brewing at a specific time was oddly challenging. Also, today 5/8/26 i pressed the program button and it does not work at all lol so i mean, its decent but not the best. I think the mr coffee brand might be better.
