Superior to our former Braun KF7000 in many ways
I've made a number of pots of coffee in this coffee maker now, from 6 to 10 cups. All have been consistently good. Being cautious, I did run two full pots of clean water through it first. I am very satisfied with the quality of the brewed coffee, which is by far the most important thing to me. It is superior to our former Braun KF7000, which this replaced, in that and other ways. Pros - The water compartment is easy to fill, and I especially appreciate seeing the level on the side. I do pour straight from our Brita water pitcher, not from the carafe. - That said, I have compared water filled to the level marks on the carafe with the ones in the water compartment, and they align perfectly, e.g. 8 cups in the coffee pot perfectly reaches the 8 cup mark on the side of the water compartment. - The scoop amounts happen to work well for the coffee I'm currently using. (a couple varieties of Seattle's Best) - Everything has a more substantial or secure feel to it than our old Braun KF7000. - Scheduling a pot to Auto-Brew is easy. - I like that it shows how long the coffee has been on the warmer since the pot finished brewing. - Everything is easy to clean. Cons - The carafe has to be turned completely upside-down to get the last bit of coffee out. For me, that's minor. - Stuck with using the 24-hour clock (vs AM/PM); but I'm okay with that. - Having to fold the bottom and side seams on the #4 paper filters is a very minor annoyance. - It also would have been nice if it came with a couple filters to get started. I thought it would, but ours did not. - I'd prefer that the time display was not lit. We don't need yet another clock in the kitchen. And it's just one more small lamp lighting the room. But again, a very minor annoyance.

Great overall with one glaring problem.
It has been awesome all except one thing, the hour button you have to really lean into physically the button to get it to register that you are pressing it, it is super belligerent and I don't know why they did it that way. All the other buttons are great. Other than that it makes great coffee and is a breeze to clean.

Makes good coffee
Overall this is a quality coffee pot that is worth the money. We love how nicely the carafe pours and it is super hot coffee which is great. I wish the programming was a bit more intuitive and I don't like the clock (it's in military time). Also, you have to fold the filters to get them to fit in the pot.

Good quality, good performance
I am generally pleased with the performance and build quality of the machine. It makes consistent HOT coffee the way coffee should be brewed. Why only 4 stars? I have two minor quibbles with the machine. The ability to change between 12 and 24 hour time format would be nice, and the power cord to could be another 6 to 12 inches longer.

Much better to go with a Braun
As others noted, this carafe has the thinnest glass I have ever seen on a carafe for auto drip, and I've had various ones over more than 4 decades. None ever broke. This was shattered by 2 weeks of use and had to pay $33 for replacement. Contacted manufacture to reimburse for replacement since it was so soon after purchase but they said it's not warranty covered. What else would a company that used such thin glass for their carafe say? And it doesn't make great coffee, ok at best and I use quality beans, it's my one splurge. Others, such as Braun, have brewed much better.

Great coffee maker!
I love this coffee maker! I like the timer showing the age of the coffee and let me tell you, the coffee is hot, much hotter than my previous model. I also like it displaying the time the coffee will be brewed and by doing that, it confirms I’ve made the preparations for coffee to be brewed in the morning. It’s a very nice, well packaged, quality product and I’m very happy I made the purchase.

Compact design, sturdy construction. I would have given it 5 stars if had used a washable filter basket instead of paper filters. Also, the instructions say to use no more than 6 of their supplied "scoops" of coffee, which doesn't make it strong as we prefer. A larger coffee basket would be appreciated. Love their thermos, thought we'd give this a shot. Nice, but not 100%

HI QUALITY; easy to set up and use. Gasket seals well; coffee brews nicely & tastes great. Great tip about hard water, too. We're using store bought drinking water as we're on a well with very hard water...

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I love the look and size of the coffee maker. Before it arrived I was worried about it taking up too much space. When unpacking I noticed how well made it is and it fit perfectly on my counter without taking up too much space. The coffee maker functions well and I love that it is programmable with the push buttons that are easy to read on the front. I have tried ice coffee and hot coffee and after finding the perfect settings my coffee came out how I like. it. It does brew 12 cups and it is easy to Clea.
