Q: Does the plate keep coffee on for 2 hours or does it auto shuts off once is done brewing? I am hoping carafe will truly keep it warm for some time and not feel burned like other models they have.

Don't Buy This One!
Awful! Does not keep coffee hot and there’s no way to keep it hot. It’s hard to pour the coffee out of the carafe, pours out very slowly. I returned it and got the other Cuisinart coffee maker that I had before and so far it works great!

Great features
This is definitely an upgrade from what I’m used to! I love that it shuts off automatically when it’s done brewing so I don’t have to remember to turn it off before I leave for work. And the coffee stays warm for a long time. I actually poured a day old coffee and it was still warm!

B+ Coffee Pot
Pretty decent coffee pot my only complaint is it is difficult to pour out of the spout. More often than not water will go not where intended and in turn the same happens when the water becomes coffee. Coffee is brewed hot and stays pretty hot throughout the day which is a huge plus for me - not having to reheat. Overall a pretty nice coffee maker and I am pleased.

Not a good model
I love this brand and their products. I own several; such as food steamer, and K cup coffee maker. This coffee maker is very bad since coffee isn’t hot enough and coffee pot doesn’t help to keep it hot anyway since coffee doesn’t brew hot. The plate must be a failure as well. Their other models are way better and you can adjust temperature. I switch between regular brewed coffee, to k cups or Nespresso. They really need to make removable water tank, proper plate adjust or brewing adjustment temp. and way less plastic.

Cuisinart Coffee pot
Love my new coffee pot. Stays hot for HOURS! I set my brew for “auto-on” at 5:30am. I just poured a cup at 10:56am and it’s still piping hot! I dump any leftover coffee at the end of the day into my iced coffee carafe in the fridge and it’s still steaming. So happy we purchased this. Brews coffee beautiful and keeps it hot in the thermal coffee pot, versus on a hot burner with a glass pot. No scorched coffee. Dont hesitate on this one. I’m a coffee junkie and this is WAY better than Keurig pods.

Disappointed
Received as a Mother’s Day gift and after brewing a couple pots, I got an error code. Contacted the company and they said to descale it. Tried that, and code came back after a couple more uses. Now it won’t even brew coffee. I’ll be returning. Cuisinart wasn’t very helpful when I contacted them. Guess I’ll be looking for a different coffee pot.

Not too happy with it. Hard to pour from the heavy pot, doesn't keep the coffee hot. The %&$# measure in the lid keeps falling out. The pot is hard to wash out. Not your best design. Loved my old one but it finally died.

Mother's Day Gift
[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I was gifted this Cuisinart 12 cup coffee maker with thermal carafe for Mother's Day. We like that it is easier to add water because the opening to the reservoir is larger than my former Cuisinart coffee maker. Also the reservoir cover leans back a little bit farther when it's open so there is more space to pour the water in. The thermal carafe keeps the coffee hot for well over an hour. It brews very quickly too. What we really like is that the shower head has many openings so the coffee grounds get a good soak as the water comes through. We also like the fact that because it's a thermal carafe we can unplug after brewing because we don't have to keep the hot plate on. The coffee doesn't get bitter. This Cuisinart coffee maker has a nice look and feels well made and sturdy.

Great coffee maker but poorly designed pot
I really like not having a glass pot and that was the main reason for buying this coffeemaker. The Pot that comes with this keeps coffee nice and hot, but it is difficult to clean because it has a small opening. It is also difficult to pour when there is a small amount of coffee left also due to the opening configuration.

Good tasting brew
[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I purchased the 12 cup perfect temp DCV-3700 series and, so far, it brews good tasting coffee that stays hot. The front pour is ok but you have to lift the thermal carafe uncomfortable high to avoid scuffing up the front plate. The thermal carafe is hard to clean because I cannot fit my hand inside.
