Q: How many volt is this coffee grinder? Will it work in eroupe ?

submitted by Danaz - 8 years ago
  • A: I don't know how many volts but I don't believe it will work in Europe without an adapter.

submitted byjmn - 8 years ago
  • A: It is 120 volts. I don't think it will work in Europe.

submitted byRomeo Oscar - 8 years ago
  • A: It is 120v. There are voltage converters for appliances but I personally would buy the appliance in the country you're moving to.

    submitted bykaej52 - 8 years ago
  • A: with a voltage converter you could use it in Europe

Q: Has anyone used this grinder past the manufacturer's 18 month warranty period?

submitted by Daya - 1 year ago
  • A: Yes. Will require cleaning. The hopper rotates off. Good to brush clean and force air (blow vigorously) through the passages to remove fine particles which seem to clog the switch mechanism.

  • A: Yes! The are 18 levels ranging from ultra-fine to extra-course.

  • A: The grind is fairly inconsistent and you will get a lot of fines.

submitted byThe Answer Man - 1 year ago

Q: Does anyone know if this grinder grind coffee beans beyond the espresso size to the dust powder extra fine size needed to prepare like Turkish coffee or so?

submitted by Ptl - 6 years ago
  • A: It does several different textures.

    submitted byGinaB2323 - 5 years ago
  • A: Yes, there is an extra fine setting for Turkish coffee.

submitted byRadiofan - 4 years ago

Q: Can you grind spices in this?

submitted by JA - 7 years ago
  • A: You could, but it wouldn't be easy to clean a specific spice out of it. I wouldn't use it for that purpose.

submitted byTCook - 7 years ago
  • A: Yes, I suppose you could. It would be a little over powered for just regular kitchen use and much more work to clean out between spices. I use a small inexpensive grinder for spices, they usually are around $10.

submitted byclf - 7 years ago

Q: Just bought grinder. It grinds coffee really slow. Is this normal?

submitted by Sandcrab3 - 7 years ago
  • A: The setting in front is for the approximate number of cups of brewed coffee in ground coffee needed. The top setting is for how fine a grind you want. The finer the grind the slower it will grind because it brings the blades closer together. A more uniform grind speed can be achieved by keeping the bean hopper full so it always puts downward pressure on the beans to enter the grinding chamber. All that being said it should grind the beans at the same rate as any other comparable grinder. I've had mine for over a year and find it to be the best grinder for under $100. Hope that helps!

    submitted byPhil C - 7 years ago
  • A: You don't really want a grinder that is too fast. It builds up heat due to the speed and that can effect your beans.

submitted byclf - 7 years ago

Q: I just bought this grinder. There is a mark on the dial that selects Fine/Medium/Course. Is it supposed to be screwed all the way in so mark is about 9 o'clock or is it supposed to face you.

submitted by Sandcrab3 - 7 years ago
  • A: True the white line is your guide to the type of grind you want. Align with the dots on your grinder. Good luck.

submitted byNailima - 6 years ago
  • A: The white line indicates the desired grind. it varies from fine to coarse. just twist to the the dotted marks depending on how you want it ground. most coffee makers you would use the medium setting and fine form more espresso applications.

Q: What are the physical dimensions of this grinder, H x L x D?

submitted by boohiss - 8 years ago
  • A: 11" x 5" x 7" It's a great grinder!

    submitted bykaej52 - 8 years ago
  • A: It's about 11x5x7.

submitted byGardener - 8 years ago

Q: 1. Is this burr grinder disc or conical? 2. Is there an automatic shut off for grinding, depending on the grind and # of cups?

submitted by sla - 4 months ago
  • A: Thank you for your question, this unit is a burr grinder.

The Grinder sets up with a simple plug in right out of the box, ready for its first beans. Finding one's preferred grind is a matter of trial and error, but every grind is uniform and to the correct measurement setting. If you enjoy the process of finding the perfect cup of coffee, this grinder is an easy choice to get you started the right track.

One Cuisinart Supreme Burr Grinder For Each House!

5 out of 5 stars

This is my 2nd Cuisinart burr grinder. The first was given to me second-hand from a friend who upgraded to a fancier Cuisinart model. It still faithfully grinds our beans at our winter home in AZ. When the grinder (another brand) that came with our already furnished summer home konked out recently I searched for a new Cuisinart….just like the one in AZ. I spied a terrific deal online & couldn’t be happier. We all use different brew methods. Aeropress, pour over & drip. Occasionally a French press. There’s a grind for every preference. Great burr grinder, great price! We’re caffeinated & happy.

Love the convenience and capacity

This was a gift from my husband and I love it! I’ve been wanting a bigger grinder at home for a while now. While I love the freshness of whole beans my little single portion grinder was too messy and time consuming to use. This is practically perfect. The only complaint I have is that the hopper doesn’t fully come off, that I know of. This made changing beans when I got a bag I didn’t like hard.

This grinds just fine. It's # of shots dial doesn't work at all. I'll put it on 12 and I'll get maybe 6 shots, sometimes 4. It's got far more static than my last grinder.

I'm love that I can set the amount to grind. The one change in would make would be to make the hopper lid seal so I can fill it and not worry about the beans getting stale.

Everything about this burr grinder is very good. My only complaint is how the coffee ground cling to the plastic receiver cup due to static electricity. Perhaps if the receiver cup was made of nickel that effect would be minimized. Either way this is the bomb.

Does not last long

3 out of 5 stars
Kristen - 21 days ago
Worked well for fine grounds. As other reviewers have said, it is loud, although for whatever reason my kids loved this and would enjoy “dancing” to the grinder. Surprisingly, after about 15 uses over the course of about 18 months, it suddenly stopped working. I’m not seeing a bunch of other reviewers with this experience, so may be an anomaly.
