Hamilton Beach Burr Coffee Grinder 80385: 18 Settings, Dishwasher-Safe Parts, 14 Cup Capacity, Black

This was my first burr coffee grinder, so I wasn't sure what to expect. When I opened the box, I was surprised by how small it was. The packaging makes it look much larger than it actually is. However, don't let the size fool you—it performs very well. The grinder was easy to use once I carefully read the instructions. The manual was a little confusing at first, especially when it came to the cup settings and the locking mechanism for cleaning. I had to read the instructions more than once and play around with it a bit before everything made sense. I may even look online to see if others had the same experience with the locking process. One feature I really appreciated is that it includes grind settings for different brewing methods, such as French press and drip coffee makers. That makes it easy for beginners to get the right grind size without guessing. The grinder does an excellent job. The coffee grounds came out evenly, and the aroma while grinding fresh beans filled my kitchen—it reminded me of walking into a coffee shop like Starbucks. Despite its compact size, it doesn't take up much counter space, which is perfect for a small kitchen. The only other minor issue I noticed was that a little coffee dust ended up on my countertop after grinding. It's not a big problem, and next time I'll simply place something underneath the grinder to catch it. Unlike another coffee item I ordered, this grinder arrived in perfect condition and worked right out of the box. Overall, I'm very satisfied with my purchase. It's compact, affordable, and does exactly what it's designed to do. I would definitely recommend it to anyone looking for a quality burr grinder for home use.

I used this grinder exactly twice before it stopped working. When I tried to troubleshoot and clean it out I found that the grinder mechanism would not come out even though the cleaning instructions state that it is removable for cleaning. Other reviewers have mentioned this same flaw. Lesson learned. Returning this one and getting a higher end brand instead.

The start light just flashes even when all the parts are sitting properly. I would send it back but they only give you two weeks to return.

Wish the bowl was bigger but no complaints. Works!

The box is so beaten up and battered it looks like this has been returned a few times before it was sent to me - will be returning without even opening the box

Bought this instead is using a smaller hand held Mueller grinder. It was great looking and easy to put together. Once I added the beans, I adjusted the grind and it worked as advertised. Now I’m 6 months into this and somehow, on the extra fine setting, it is not grinding below a coarse setting. I have removed the burr and cleaned them and still it doesn’t grind correct. I’m not too sure if they have replacement burrs available or if it is a throwaway grinder. Might have to buy another manufacturer and give that a whirl. I guess the most frustrating thing is that I work in the coffee business and repair grinders out in the field and this one has me stumped.

This is a Birthday GIFT. 🥹 It was shipped to me without any packaging & the “BIG” SHIPPING LABEL is stuck on the front of the Box ! Also… The corners of the box are crushed ! Geez… I don’t have time to mess with exchanging it & I needed it by June 1st.

Terrible. It does not matter how fine you adjust the settings to…consistent large chunks. Unusable

I haven’t used it often and I'm still learning how to use it. Recently I used the finest setting for the espresso coffee and I've noticed it doesn't grind very fine coffee.

I got this coffee grinder specifically for the espresso grind options, but it won’t grind it as finely as promised, unless I grind the same beans 4-5 times over. I was expecting it to grind to a powder consistency with just one grind.

Very compact but can store days worth of beans with variable grind settings + choice of 2 to 14 cups of Brewed coffee.

I liked the size of the container but it was very difficult to figure it out.

The price of Kcups keep going up and I have had enough. I also am sick about now being able to recycle said pods. Enough is enough! I just got through washing things up and will up date you about how it worked out. Seems like a nice machine!Q

I’m mad because Target sent this coffee grinder in the box it came in without putting it in a mailing box so when it arrived the surprise I had for my husband was no Longer a surprise. Instead I got asked who is this for? Thanks Target for ruining my Christmas surprise!!’nn

Works great. Thought it was going to be a little bigger but it does everything it needs to do.

I bought it for espresso. Don’t waste your money. It doesn’t have a consistent grind and the beans don’t come out inconsistently. I returned it.

I used this one time and a piece under the grinding wheel broke into 3 piece. Can't find it in the replacement parts so I guess it will need replaced.
