  • A: It’s possible you held the brew / stop for 3 seconds and activated the clean cycle ~?~ This just happened to me right now .. Unplug the unit wait for the flashing hold button for three seconds and it should shut it off . If not repeat the process. I had to do it twice. I seems it fixed the issue.

The Clean function on your 12-Cup Programmable Coffee Maker is designed to remove mineral buildup and old coffee residue from inside the machine so it keeps brewing great. How it works: You add a cleaning mixture (usually 4 cups white vinegar + 8 cups water) to the reservoir. Start the Clean cycle, the machine runs a slow, thorough rinse through all the internal parts. When it’s done, run two cycles of plain water to rinse everything out. Do you need to add anything? Yes, vinegar and water (or a coffee-maker cleaning solution). Nothing else is needed. How often? About every 4–6 weeks, depending on your water hardness.     Not recommended.

    Grounds are in every pot I make over 6 cups. Does not drip fast enough, complete design flaw. Not to mention, WAY TOO EXPENSIVE.

    Breaks in a year, as usual

    Second coffee maker that broke after a single year (water started leaking out of the bottom from the reservoir, even if not brewing). Everything is garbage now, I don't even know what I should buy instead.

    Definitely would not recommend. Had this less than a year and pump stopped working . Just stopped pumping out the water properly after about 6 months.

You may also check the troubleshooting steps below: - Plug the unit into a different wall outlet to ensure that the unit is receiving enough power.     Do you like grounds in your coffee?

    This coffee maker gets SO MANY grounds in the coffee! It’s absolutely awful. We’ve tried multiple different filters, including the included mesh one, and no matter what you get a mouthful of coffee grounds. It looks nice and is easy to clean, but it’s so bad for making coffee.

    Spring came loose

    It's a decent coffee maker. It can be a bit on the noisy side. The spring inside came loose and I couldn't reseat it. We've only had it a few months. It doesn't seem to affect the quality of the coffee without the spring though. You also get a lot of grounds in your cup sometimes. If you don't mind that, then this coffee maker is for you.

    Doesn't last a year

    I bought this coffee maker to replace one from another company that I had for quite a few years. This particular Mr. Coffee is now not working after having it for almost a year. I tried different outlets. Nothing. Save yourself the trouble and avoid this model.

That is certainly not the experience we want you to have. No worries, we are here to help. If your coffee maker is not working, it might be because the unit is not getting enough power from the wall outlet where it is currently plugged in or the wall outlet itself is a non-working outlet. To remedy this issue, check if there is no physical damage on its cord and if there's none, try unplugging the coffee brewer. Let the unit rest for 3-5 minutes. Then, plug it into a different wall outlet. Do not use it with any extension cords, power strips, power converters, or inverters as it may affect the coffee maker's performance. Also, make sure that all parts and accessories are properly inserted. Otherwise, it might cause the product not to work properly. Your coffee maker has a 1-year limited warranty. If this doesn't resolve your issue, we'd kindly request that you contact us directly so we can determine the best resolution. Have a good day!

    Mr Coffee12 Cup Programmable Stainless Steel

    I bought this to replace an older Mr. Coffee unit that was wearing out. I opted for this unit primarily because it has the same size and shape of carafe as the old one had. This unit has several design issues. The lid hinges from the left side of the unit instead of hinging from the back, therefore limiting counter top to cabinet placement choices. The reservoir fill level indicator is on the right side the unit, and is hard to see when using the carafe to put water in the reservoir. The most disturbing thing about this unit is the smell. I checked online and it seems to be an issue with new plastics and VOCs (Volatile Organic Compounds). Mr. Coffee machines are supposed to be free of BPA and phthalates. I sure hope so given the way this thing smells. The Chinese factory wouldn't ship anything harmful to us, now would they?

    Less than a year and its garbage.

    After less than a year it no longer works. Won’t turn on at all anymore, tried different outlets and nothing. I did not use this daily, but even if I had, I would expect it to last longer than 10 months.

    Cute little coffee maker

    Very Light. Nice to look at. Reasonably priced. Pretty quiet when brewing. Brews faster than my last coffee maker. I really like it. My Cuisinart coffee maker pot broke while washing after 10 plus years. When I looked for a replacement pot by cuisinart, it cost just as much as a new machine. I’ll be back if my opinion changes. So far so good.

    Greet coffee maker

    [This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I absolutely love my 12 cup programmable Mr Coffee. There are so many features. I can make strong or regular and set it to brew on my schedule. The coffee is hot and stays that way for a couple hours after brewing. It’s looks good and makes great coffee.

    Seemed good for 2 to 3 months, then stopped brewing full pots

    It seemed great for the first 2 to 3 months and then would only brew about 3.5to 4 cups when we'd filled it with 12 cups of filtered water. I read what could cause such an issue and cleaned it well. Would make one or two pots of 10 to 12 cups of coffee and then back to 3 to 4 cups. Cannot find a remedy, so am trashing it and buying a different brand

Also note that you may lose 1/2 to 1 cup of coffee during the brewing process, as some of the water liquid stays in the coffee grounds and/or evaporates. To lessen too much evaporation, check if everything is properly locked in place, most especially the coffee maker lid. Your coffee maker has a 1-year limited warranty.
