Q: Issues with auto-off function. Did not stay on for pre-set 2 hours the 1st day, I adjusted it for 3.5 hours and it stayed on the 2nd day, then it turned off immediately after brewing the 3rd day. Is there a step I am missing or is this a faulty item?

Don't hit anything if the time is set where you want it........ Wait for numbers to dissappear. Then select brewing cycle........ Not my favorite but better then trying to return this thing.......

  • A: Same here. It's not you. Ours worked for a day or two, the warmer would cycle off and on very noticeably. I'm going to just try to enter the AutoOff setting each time before brewing and see if that works. In the book there is a single line in the back under troubleshooting. Problem: Coffee is not hot Cause: Keep warm mode has ended Solution: ------- Guess even they can figure it out. There is no mention of Keep Warm Mode, so it's interesting little glitch. The other fix is we use a thermos and pour it into that, keeps the coffee warm for a few hours that way. Good luck if you figure it out.

Never buying Braun again

This is the second one we’ve had and it has a fatal error message in a year. Braun replaced the last one when it stopped working suddenly and I am done after this second E1 error message, never again. And yes I’m writing this as I need my coffee in the morning.

DO NOT BUY! Coffee spills all over while brewing!

The coffee drips from behind the pot, spills all over onto the hot plate, and then drips down onto the counter. The entire time it's brewing, there is coffee bubbling onn the hot plate due to this design flaw. I have a video, but don't think I can add that here. I thought this was a decent brand. It is not. In addition, programming isn't the easiest. I wish I would have returned it while the return window was still open. For the longest I was thinking I was adding too much water and it was spillling over, then I started watching it brew. I've now had it a year an it's getting worse. There is a pool of coffee under the machine each morning after making coffee.

Good Cup of Coffee

This makes a really great cup of coffee. I really like the automatic brew feature, and the variety of brew levels. It is a little large, so make sure you have a good amount of space wherever you decide to keep it.

Doesn't Last For The Price

An $80 coffee maker should last longer than 1 year. Went completely dead, no power. After that the return policy isn’t valid and going through the manufacturer is a dead end. Save your money and buy a cheap pot!

Leaks

Choose Another Machine

I passionately hate this new coffee machine. I have had for a few months now and it is stupidly difficult to use. Adjusting the clock and setting autobrew are not very easy and the buttons in the machine work poorly. Going to have to buy another machine to replace, this one is that bad.

Carafe chipped after 1 week of use. Click cannot be set. Waste of money

I do not like that the clock has been flashing 12:00 since we bought it and have done everything to try and set the clock to the correct time. The coffee is hot and so far has been an okay coffee maker. But one morning recently, I noticed the tiniest chip in the pour spout of the carafe.. I was nervous to use it thinking it may crack with heat etc. Well, glad I did not use it, the chip became larger and eventually cracked the whole carafe. The replacement carafe is over 35.00 Braun said to return to target.. Target doesn’t want it. So either pay to replace or buy a new coffeemaker?!

Went up in smoke

First of all I noticed all of the good reviews are from people who got this machine for free to review so I'm sure they haven't had it long enough to actually see how bad it is and anything free is going to get a good review. It has been difficult to use from the beginning but we really liked the design. We have had it just over a year and this morning it made crazy beeping sounds and the lights started flashing and smoke started pouring out the back of the unit. It had a terrible smell. I'm just thankful we were awake and noticed it right away or it's hard to say what might have happened. Buyer beware!

Not Intuitive and Not worth the higher price

I have had this for just over year and a few months ago it started to “go”. While it’s always been very inconvenient to program, it now won’t even brew consistently. The buttons aren’t responding. Going to buy a cheap replacement until I do some more research. Very disappointing

Works but noisy

Have had a few months and overall it functions fine. But it t makes a lot of noise during brew cycle is maybe expected but while sitting on the counter after brew it just pops and cracks. This is very annoying to me. Some of the settings and features don’t seem to work maybe instructions are for a different model. Coffee makers have gotten complicated and expensive and I was looking for a better price. So I guess that’s what I get. So again overall it functions, brews fine and nice looking. Just don’t like the noise
