Q: Issues with auto-off function. Did not stay on for pre-set 2 hours the 1st day, I adjusted it for 3.5 hours and it stayed on the 2nd day, then it turned off immediately after brewing the 3rd day. Is there a step I am missing or is this a faulty item?

A: Here is what works for us........
Turn On........
Press Clock and Set for a few seconds........
Time for Auto Off flashes........
Don't hit anything if the time is set where you want it........
Wait for numbers to dissappear.
Then select brewing cycle........
Not my favorite but better then trying to return this thing.......

A: Same here. It's not you.
Ours worked for a day or two, the warmer would cycle off and on very noticeably.
I'm going to just try to enter the AutoOff setting each time before brewing and see if that works.
In the book there is a single line in the back under troubleshooting.
Problem:
Coffee is not hot
Cause:
Keep warm mode has ended
Solution:

Guess even they can figure it out.
There is no mention of Keep Warm Mode, so it's interesting little glitch.
The other fix is we use a thermos and pour it into that, keeps the coffee warm for a few hours that way.

Q: How many U.S. fluid ounces of coffee does this "14 cup" coffee maker make and hold in the caraffe? A U.S. Standard cup is 8 oz., but I ordered a "14 cup" coffee maker that makes 50 oz. of coffee.

The black part of the carafe and the side of the carafe dislodged against the glass, i can no longer use this carafe. I had to gorilla glue it and when i did a cleaning with the machine it again came apart.

This coffeemaker has the absolute worst user interface that I have used. The programming is non intuitive and the flat panel buttons work poorly. Will not seem to hold programmable start time and the warmer shuts off no matter how long I set it for. This unit replaced another Braun that stopped working one or two months post warranty.

The coffee maker has a great look, but looks can be very deceiving. other than the look it is junk. Had the pot 2 days and already the warmer plate doesn't work properly and it is not very hot. it's going back never to purchase this brand again. Don't waste your time or money!

Returning this coffee maker

Not sure who designed the buttons and the setting for this coffee maker, it took me an hour to finally get what I thought was the auto brew along with all the other settings. That should have been my first clue to just box it up then. The instructions say to hold buttons for 5 seconds but nothing happens. At least that's what I think the instructions said - very poorly written ( my husband writes instructional procedures for a living). It took several attempts to even get the buttons to work. The auto brew feature doesn't work. If you have an auto brew feature on a coffee maker, you want to set it one time and not have to reprogram every day. The coffee was not hot even at the hottest plate setting. There's no option to turn the hot plate back on to keep the pot warm. This is a lousy coffee maker and doesn't event deserve 1 star.

I’ve had this coffee maker for like a year and the last time I turned it off the light was off but the burner stayed on. I didn’t notice until the next morning when the closer I got to it I was smelling something scorched. I kept trying to turn it on and off but it stayed on. I unplugged it and smoke started coming out of the water reservoir. I plugged it in again just to check and it doesn’t work anymore. I cleaned it every time it said to. I’m just glad it didn’t start a fire.

Braun isn’t making coffee makers anymore, that part of the company was sold off to another company. You are out of luck if something breaks on any Braun coffee maker. I found out by trying to call customer service. That experience alone was a hot mess!!!!!!!!!!!! Thank goodness Target customer service stepped up to refund me.

Hot plate stopped working after about a week. The Autobrew function stopped working after a month or so. It's a good thing my son broke the carafe the other day so I can throw this thing out. Braun should stick to making electric shavers, because this coffee maker is garbage.

warming plate destroyed by overflowing carafe

Shortly after brewing begins the coffee starts overflowing over the lid of the carafe, runs down to the plate, which then begins to sizzle. Tried cleaning coffee maker, using just water (no coffee grounds), less water in the reservoir, all with the same result. The warming plate is burned and rusted, unable to be cleaned. Issue seems to be where the coffee enters the carafe. We have made sure that the lid was properly seated on the carafe, to no avail. I purchased this item in October 2021, and had to stop using it by June 2022. I am looking for a refund at this point, don't trust that a replacement will be any better.

Hot plate function has never worked. Auto on is the most absurd setup. It’s 2022- why do 6 buttons need to be pressed every single time for the same program? Total garbage. Braun shouldn’t even sell this piece of garbage.

It's nice, sleek and just modern looking. It has an easy to pour in water reservoir and able to view easily. It's also very easy clean up. It's a very attractive machine, with durability and looks of great quality. It matches in kitchen appliances nicely with stainless steel and black appearance. I love the reusable filter and it makes a great cup of coffee. I would definitely recommend this coffee maker.
