A: Thank you for your question regarding the Cuisinart Programmable Coffeemaker. This model is designed to brew the full amount of water added to the reservoir. For a single 12oz serving, we recommend filling the reservoir with only 12oz of water to ensure the desired portion is brewed.

A: Hi Br- Thanks for your question about the 14-cup programmable Coffeemaker. The water reservoir on the unit is not heated; the water is heated as it passes through the machine and then ends in the carafe. The unit does have a warming plate that keeps the coffee in the carafe hot for up to 4 hours.

Q: Can a paper filter be used in addition to the gold one included? If so what number filter would be used?

A: Hi Jan, You may use a #4 paper filter or the Gold Tone filter in the coffee maker, but not at the same time, as this can cause the unit to backup and overflow.

Very disappointed.
Cuisinart used to mean quality you could trust. Not my experience recently. The hot plate on this coffee maker was defective. When I put carafe on the hot plate it did not slide in smoothly. After brewing there was a "powdery" residual left on the hot plate. It kept getting worse whenever the glass carafe was replaced and the hot plate looked scratched. After the 3rd try, I believed it would just keep getting more damaged. I returned product. Will not purchase Cuisinart again.

This is our 3rd Cuisinart coffee pot. They usually last us a few years. They are always a solid purchase for us. Easy to use, keeps the coffee hot, fits under our kitchen cabinet nicely. We tried a different brand before buying this one but Cuisinart was far superior in quality & the other one has been tucked away in the closet to use as a coffee emergency backup. Of course, buying at Target made it the easy choice!

Better than my k-cups!
This was my first *real* coffee maker after years of using k-cups. It's so easy and makes a perfect brew every time. I also love that it is sleek and doesn't look like another clunky appliance on my countertop.

Bunn to Cuisinart
Just make sure the lid is closed completely and this coffee maker brews some delicious coffee. Came from using Bunn for over 30 years so getting used to waiting about 10 minutes for a cup of coffee, but worth the wait!

Makes a great cup of coffee
This is the second model we have purchased after our first one made it 10 years of daily use. The first was still operational, however the glass coffee pot cracked after it landed wrong in the sink and having had the first for so we long we decided to update the maker since we had to purchase the pot. Love the flavor of the coffee it makes and still use it daily.

Excellent Coffee Maker
Excellent coffee maker that produces great tasting coffee. It seems well made, is attractive and easy to use. I use whole bean coffee that I grind fresh before each use. I haven’t used the automatic setting as my schedule changes daily but I assume that it works well. Great choice for a coffee maker.
