submitted by Mark - 26 days ago

submitted by Cecilia - 1 month ago

Q: Can you make as few as one 12 oz cup of coffee with this maker ?

submitted by DAG - 2 months ago
  • A: Thank you for your question regarding the Cuisinart Programmable Coffeemaker. This model is designed to brew the full amount of water added to the reservoir. For a single 12oz serving, we recommend filling the reservoir with only 12oz of water to ensure the desired portion is brewed.

Q: Does the water reservoir stay hot all the time

submitted by BR - 2 months ago
  • A: Hi Br- Thanks for your question about the 14-cup programmable Coffeemaker. The water reservoir on the unit is not heated; the water is heated as it passes through the machine and then ends in the carafe. The unit does have a warming plate that keeps the coffee in the carafe hot for up to 4 hours.

Q: Can a paper filter be used in addition to the gold one included? If so what number filter would be used?

submitted by Jan - 2 months ago
  • A: Hi Jan, You may use a #4 paper filter or the Gold Tone filter in the coffee maker, but not at the same time, as this can cause the unit to backup and overflow.

Consistent quality coffee maker

I have had several Cusinart coffee makers. We make at least two pots of coffee, sometimes three pots, per day. They last about three years in our house. I have tried several other brands in between, but always go back to a Cuisinart. It is consistently the best performing coffee maker we have found for the price.

Very Goo Coffee Maker

This is an easy to use coffee maker that makes very good coffee. I like that it filters water. I also like the 1 to 4 cup and Bold buttons to make strong coffee.

Great Coffee and Durability

This is the 3rd one we have purchased over the years. We have large groups of overnight guests which is why we always want at least 2 coffee makers. The Cuisinarts last a VERY long time and make excellent coffee! We’ll continue to purchase them

Delicious Coffee but ...

I've had several of these over the years and they all make delicious coffee! My only gripe is that the heating plates don't last. They flake, get rusty and deteriorate no matter how careful I am. I wish they were made of stainless steel. I keep buying the machines because the coffee is SO good but the I can't understand why Cuisinart can't make a warming plate that lasts as long as their machines.

(no review title)

Whoever designed the carafe for this coffee pot does not drink coffee or does not do the dishes. You have to remove the entire lid and even the lip of the carafe is plastic. Why?! It’s cheaply made and I doubt would last long. I will be returning.

Cuisinart 14-Cup Coffee Maker

This is a very nice, high-quality coffee machine. I hope it lasts longer than my previous nice, high-quality Cuisinart coffee maker.

Good Coffeemaker, Not So Good Carafe Lid

This is the third Cuisinart 14-Cup Coffeemaker that I have purchased. The coffeemaker itself has progressively gotten better (e.g., higher quality hot plate cover, the coffee Ready Tone is no longer way too loud). The one constant problem is the the carafe lid. The plastic pour spout lid fit quickly loosens up and the carafe becomes a "dribble glass" around the rim if you try to quickly pour a cup of coffee.

Great coffeemaker!

Love this 14 cup coffeemaker (it’s the second unit purchased). We wish the high heat setting was warmer than it is. Good quality product.

Cuisinart is fantastic!

I love this coffee pot. Wonderful options to brew 14 cups or just 4 cups. The hot plate can be adjusted to the temperature that you want your coffee to be while heatng for 2 or more hours. It has the option to program or just turn on to when you want.

Great cup of coffee

Easy to program. Somewhat difficult to empty the water out of the carafe into the top, but it makes an excellent tasting coffee. Sometimes it keeps dripping coffee a bit after the alarm goes off so it’s necessary to wait a few more seconds or minute to make sure there’s no mess onto the warming plate.

Great coffee maker

Had this same coffee maker for 7 years before I noticed the power cord was getting hot at the plug; worn out over the years I assume. A few years ago that old one sprung a leak and I like that I was able to access the bottom and replace the tubing. I replaced that coffee maker with the exact same one just in a different color. Hopefully this one lasts just as long or longer.

Best drip maker I've ever owned

With great features the thing that stands out the most is the consistency of brews no matter how many cups that I brew. FYI I use 5 grams of coffee per cup

14 Cup Coffeemaker

Cuisnart is always my go to because they seem to last longer. However, the quality seems to be going down. This is the second one in less than a year. The heating module in this one is not consistent. One day it is hot and the next day it is less than hot. So when it stops I will compare to other brands.

We Like It So Much We Bought It Again

We bought our first 14 cup programmable coffee maker during 2019. Use it everyday, sometimes twice when having get togethers, parties, or hosting dinners, and need more coffee in the evening. Easy to program and use. A real "set it and forget it" coffee maker for the weekends. We like to prep our coffee Friday night when going to bed and have it ready and brewing to help wake us up on Saturday morning. The coffee maker is easy to clean, maintain, and brews a consistent cup of coffee everytime. Worth the price and knowing we'll get 5+ years (over 1,800 pots of coffee) out of it make it an easy decision. It's not over the top expensive, and not bottom of the barrel cheap. Just right in the middle and perfect for what we need. Would recommend this coffee maker to anyone looking for a a consistent cup, reliable, and simple to use.
