Enhanced with UASP support (USB Attached SCSI Protocol), this USB 3.0 controller performs up to 70% faster than conventional USB 3.0 when paired with a UASP supported enclosure (Note: UASP is not supported by all operating systems). Using a more efficient protocol than the traditional USB BOT (Bulk-Only Transport), UASP technology optimizes transfers by allowing multiple commands to be processed simultaneously, significantly increasing transfer speeds for less wait time on data transfers. Works great. Would be nice it it came with a y-splitter, or at least an extension for the Sata power requirement.

Bought this to upgrade a Dell R720 Server so we could to backups to USB cradle for external backups. Loaded the drivers that came with it into Server 2019 and it worked like a charm. Way faster than USB 2.0 that is on the server. Cut backup to less than half the time.
