Q: Are these hard/sturdy enough such that, when used as a cover, they can support the weight of another glass bowl stacked on top of it?

Q: I noticed most Stasher products are labeled (made with food-safe silicone), does this mean they’re not Platinum grade silicone? I’m also curious why these stretch lids aren’t labeled as BPA, BPS or Phthalate Free on the packaging but the storage bags are?

  • A: Hey there! The sizes for these Stretch Lids are 9in, 6.5in, 4.5in, and 2.5in. All our lids can stretch approximately 1-3 inches larger than their resting size. Just make sure not to stretch them way past their natural limits to prevent tearing, but for the most part, they can stretch pretty far to cover most bowl sizes!

    Great until they weren’t

    I found that the most useful size lid for me was the 4-1/2 inch diameter one. It fit over cereal bowls, serving bowls, clay pitchers, etc. Unfortunately, they are not very sturdy to stand up to regular use. Now it’s just another piece of trash headed to the landfill. Very disappointed.

    Already gave a review of the large 9-inch lids and these smaller lids are great, too!I do hope Stasher will soon offer sets of just 6.5 inch and sets of 4.5. I have more need for those sizes, especially the 6.5. After seeing how well these worked, I ordered the large set that includes the rectangle and the square lids along with another of this 4-pack. Also ordered another single rectangle. They will be delivered tomorrow. These really are airtight and so much better than fighting the plastic wrap. Highly recommend this product.

    So Easy!

I wash them by hand, but they do go in the dishwasher. It’s just easier to rub my hands with dish soap, massage the lids, and rinse. The silicone rinses quickly, and they air-dry. And I love NOT grabbing plastic bags or wrap anymore.

    I am a huge fan! Very disappointing to learn that I cannot single order the 2 medium sizes. Required to order a 4 pack. I would have to order 3 bundles of 4 pack to get what I requested. I already purchased multiple 4 packs and have too many of the large and smallest.

    Good replacement for plastic wrap

    [This review was collected as part of a promotion.] The variety of sizes fit every mixing, storage, and serving bowl in my kitchen (plus colander for staining yogurt). So far, they've proven durable while stretching to fit larger bowls and over handles. Washing and drying is easy and I haven't had any of the lids stain on canned tomatos or adobo sauce, so I'm really pleased by that. I should have switched over from plastic sooner.

    Clean and Green!

    [This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I appreciate that these guys almost eliminate the need for disposable wraps such as plastic wrap and aluminum foil.Toss the Stasher lids into the dishwasher (I use top shelf) and they're clean. They need a little shake to remove clingy drops of water. There is a special place on my countertop for final air drying.I use them on a variety of shapes and sizes of containers. Sometimes a little loose, but that's OK. When the lid bearly fits the container, I run a bit of tap water to give it lubrication.I think with proper use and care these silicone lidsters should last for many years.

I am disappointed that the mid size lids are not on sale as a package of 4. The very small one is more difficult, unless you happen to store open cans. Good product but need more of the mid-size ones.
