This piece is as classic as the terrine itself. The natural heat retention properties of cast iron make it ideal for both hot and cold applications. The enamel coating means no seasoning, great browning and an easy release. The matte texture gives superior sear and browning when cooking in the vessel.

Love everything about it. But wish it had a weight, in addition to the lid, to compress a terrine.

While well suited for terrines and pates, this rectangular cast-iron piece can be used for many other recipes. The black matte enameled interior is excellent for browning, making it ideal for breads, casseroles, meatloaf, and even custards, using the lid to seal in steam. Additionally, the temperature retaining properties allow use for cold creations like a layered ice cream cake, easily sliced and served for a unique presentation.

This shape terrine was designed for making pates but don't let your imagination stop there. This beautiful vessel can be used for meatloaf, bread, cake, pudding or frozen treats. Staub cast iron has such a high quality feel with a tight fitting lid. Whatever you decide to make in this it goes from fridge, freezer or oven to table beautifully.

Yes perfect for pates and terrines but I use this for making bread. Its black matte finish on the inside of the pan allows for better browning. The heat capability is amazing everything bakes evenly, no hot spots. You can also put this pan in the freezer. It is oven safe up to 500F.

There's nothing else is more beautiful than this Terrine, as Staub cast iron that will complete the artistry of cooking to your table setting. Tasty food will result from this as the flavors meld together together with its self basting feature right from the oven. Mainly, I will write about food I love to cook in this Terrine. It is great for meatloaf, loaf bread, my favorite spinach and artichoke dip. My daughter like to bake pasta dish such as mac & cheese, bake macaroni, fettuccini and lasagna. This Staub cast iron is made in France, an enameled cast iron is easy to clean and doesn't require seasoning, exceptionally heat retention and distribution and is highly scratch resistant. Oven safe up to 572F.

I tested my favorite pate recipe in this pan about a year ago and it did better than my go to ceramic baking dishing. There is something about cooking - roasting, baking - in cast iron that is just a little better IMHO. The cover is a nice touch for keeping the terrine out and room temp. I also tried it with bread. Excellent also. Worth every penny.

Almost shaped like a loaf pan, this can be used as such. Also a great dish for serving frozen treats like ice cream. This terrine cast iron piece doesn’t have to be seasoned thanks to the enameling aspect of Staub. A great piece that can go from stove to oven to fridge or table.

I make a vegetarian terrine during the holidays and it looks gorgeous in this. the Beetroot and goat's cheese terrine topped with candied walnuts and crisp herbs goes straight into the fridge to chill overnight. It is delish and looks beautiful.
