If you’re like me, who reviews comment’s products before making a purchase, I strongly advise against buying this kitchen set. It’s not worth the money! I bought it for my son as a Christmas present, and we planned to assemble it on Christmas Eve so he could wake up to it the next day. However, we were met with a huge disappointment. The set was missing several items, including instructions and stickers. To make matters worse, the color of the set was black, not brown as advertised.

We got this for our 2 year old granddaughter and put it together in under 1 hour. In our opinion, you need a drill to make pilot holes but not difficult at all. We wish directions had actual words instead of just pictures, but that is just us. It is a perfect size and with all the included accessories, I am sure she will enjoy it for years to come!

Good toy but write better instructions
Assembly instructions are not very clear. No instructions really -- just pictures. Very hard to follow. Comments refer to a video on the website but no link and I found no video. Disappointed that the electric burner feature doesn't work on ours, despite having changed batteries twice.

Missing peices
Missing the directions and stickers. It has rough edges where the pieces are glued and the white items all have brown paint on them. For the price this is a terrible item. I am returning and going to look elsewhere for one.

Damaged
Item was delivered damaged. Was a gift and too close to Christmas to replace. Box was open and the plastic pieces were nicked and scratched and damaged. Happy to show photos of the damage but this form is not allowing me to upload. Definitely would not recommend ordering online and having delivered. Stuck with damaged gift for grandchild.

Do Not Buy From Target
Do not buy this from Target. They haven’t updated the item images/description. I bought this for Christmas for my daughter and it doesn’t look like this anymore. Step2 has gotten cheap. It doesn’t come with any play food or many accessories anymore. There are no decals for the upper white part anymore and the colors of dishes are different. Everywhere else online has updated the images/description of this specific kitchen, so look elsewhere for this item. Otherwise the Step2 Grand Delights kitchen actually comes with more of the parts that are shown in this outdated description. I spent time chatting with Target online about this issue and they have yet to update it after one week.

Target Tanked, Step2 Stepped Up
Opened the kitchen early after receiving another order from Target that was damaged. Incorrect images were on the site and was sent a different kitchen. Target’s images are for a version of Step2’s Grand Delight Kitchen, not the Fun With Friends. The big tell was that a bunch of the stickers and accessories were missing, but I also did some digging. I went to Step2’s website to see what pieces I was missing and hopefully replace (this was our daughter’s big Christmas gift this year). Got on the phone with Step2, they verified that Target falsely advertised the kitchen and issued a complaint to them for removal of the images falsely advertising the kitchen. They helped me get a list of all the accessories we were missing and even added on some for the inconvenience. They also encouraged my husband and I to put the entire kitchen together to make sure no other parts were left off by Target so we could be sent everything. When I asked if they’d be needing my card for payment, said “no, the parts are on us”. They were able to reorder everything except for the decorative accessory stickers (those are not printed for their replacement inventory) in under two business days! Their service was phenomenal and fixed what would have been a botched Christmas present had I waited to put together Christmas Eve. Picture order: kitchen that’s listed on Step2’s site, what we received, bag one of two from Step2 for missing accessories, and the image that Target has/had for the kitchen on their site at time of purchase.

Step 2 is Cheating Out
It appears that Step 2 has decided to cheap out and this kitchen no longer comes with all the items and decals shown in the images still used by Target. I thought that there were items missing and looked at Step 2's site only to discover that their photos show different items coming with the site and no decals for the upper white section of the kitchen. I know that the person who bought this from Target as a gift for my child will be extremely disappointed that it does not look as nice as advertised when they see it assembled. It feels a bit like Step 2 is cutting corners for a few extra bucks and it leaves a bad taste in my mouth.

Missing parts
You have to screw nails in through the plastic. The product is also missing a lot of accessories. Im disappointed because the phone and other things missing i thought would be my son’s favorite. Other than that my two year old loves it.

Missing stickers and received wrong parts
I ordered this a month ago, I hope I can call and someone can make this right for us. I attached a picture of what I ordered from the Target website. I expected to receive what I thought I was paying for. When we unbox this item on Christmas Eve to have it assembled for our kids to wake up and see the gift from Santa, I come to realize that this is not what I ordered. The color of the kitchen is correct, but it's missing many stickers and other kitchen items. Very disappointing!

Nice kitchen, misleading photo & video
Slightly disappointed that it did not come with everything shown. There’s no tumbler cup for the coffee maker, no phone, background stickers. Overall a nice play kitchen.

Absolutely ridiculous to assemble!
I've bought so many things from Step 2 for my grand daughter and have been extremely happy with them. However, this kitchen is the devil himself! I had to buy a drill because there are no screw holes. Even with the drill I couldn't get the screw to go into the sides where the top white connects to the bottom brown piece. Obviously this is a two person job and unless you are The Rock, you are NOT getting that screw into the plastic with a manual screwdriver! I'm super frustrated at this point and ready to pack it up and return it! Two days before Christmas and her big gift is in pieces!

Thank you for contacting Step2. Please note that we provide location points and not holes for screws as shown in the product instructions. The pointed metal screws provided are self-tapping and will pierce the pliable plastic and form their own threads into product. Save time up front by using the correct size screwdriver type and head size to avoid wiggly screws during assembly. Align the screw top with the screwdriver and apply direct downward pressure or force onto screw by turning slowly with screwdriver. The screw will drive into the plastic and create a hole. This would be the same or true of driving screws into a wood board such as decking or a 2 by 4 without a hole. Think about hanging a picture on the wall of your home, if you put a new nail into an existing hole it would not have a strong hold. It is much better for you to create the hole yourself, so that every item is guaranteed complete alignment for the best and strongest results. If needed or preferred, you can use a small nail with a hammer and tap the nail into plastic a bit to create a starter hole and then take out and install screw. A power screwdriver or rechargeable drill can also be used to aid installing screws but be cautious as we do not always recommend as driving screws in too far with too much torque can strip out the plastic and cause other damage. Okay but,
On the more difficult side to assemble. The refrigerator door doesn’t stay closed. I ordered as a Christmas present for my son, but what the picture showed is not what I ordered. Missing stickers and missing other items the pictures show. Disappointed as I purposely paid more for this particular product. I could have spent less had I known.

Pick another option
Do not buy this. The accessories are cute, but there is not enough storage and no room for kids to play with the accessories. The bins that come with it just get emptied on the floor. My son is constantly pushing it around. The only way it gets played with is for things to get knocked or pushed off of it. Got it as a gift two months ago, it will not be moving to our new house next year.
