My daughter is obsessed with this dramatic play kitchen set. It does come pretty empty, so thankfully we already had some fruit and veggie toys to fill it up. Overall, it’s great. The only downside is that some assembly is required screwer, but it was still easy to put together. She loves it, and it’s perfect for her age, not too early like I was worried about. She’s 20 months old.

Step2 Play Kirchen
Perfect for my one yr old granddaughter. She loves it! It is a little smaller than I imagined. Also wish the fridge was tall and along the side of the unit.

We got this for our
We got this for our 2 year old granddaughter and put it together in under 1 hour. In our opinion, you need a drill to make pilot holes but not difficult at all. We wish directions had actual words instead of just pictures, but that is just us. It is a perfect size and with all the included accessories, I am sure she will enjoy it for years to come!

Cute Lightweight Kitchen
Super easy to put together, cute and comes with a few kitchen items. It is a Christmas present for my granddaughter so she hasn’t seen it yet.

Good toy but write better instructions
Assembly instructions are not very clear. No instructions really -- just pictures. Very hard to follow. Comments refer to a video on the website but no link and I found no video. Disappointed that the electric burner feature doesn't work on ours, despite having changed batteries twice.

Cute kitchen
This is a cute and fun kitchen I just wish they came with the backsplash and wall stickers I see from people would bought it in 2020/2021. And the oven and microwave sticker was so plain. Other than that the kitchen is what I expected and still fun to play with.

Nice kitchen, misleading photo & video
Slightly disappointed that it did not come with everything shown. There’s no tumbler cup for the coffee maker, no phone, background stickers. Overall a nice play kitchen.

Hard to assemble
Hard to assemble, must drill holes for screws yourself.
1 reply from CS team - 3 years ago
Thank you for contacting Step2. Please note that we provide location points and not holes for screws as shown in the product instructions. The pointed metal screws provided are self-tapping and will pierce the pliable plastic and form their own threads into product. Save time up front by using the correct size screwdriver type and head size to avoid wiggly screws during assembly. Align the screw top with the screwdriver and apply direct downward pressure or force onto screw by turning slowly with screwdriver. The screw will drive into the plastic and create a hole. This would be the same or true of driving screws into a wood board such as decking or a 2 by 4 without a hole. Think about hanging a picture on the wall of your home, if you put a new nail into an existing hole it would not have a strong hold. It is much better for you to create the hole yourself, so that every item is guaranteed complete alignment for the best and strongest results. If needed or preferred, you can use a small nail with a hammer and pound a nail into plastic a bit to create a starter hole and then take out install screw. A power screwdriver or rechargeable drill can also be used to aid installing screws but be cautious as we do not always recommend as driving screws in too far with too much torque can strip out the plastic and cause other damage. Please watch our assembly tips & tricks video on our website at www.step2.com about screw installation. Regards, Step2 Consumer Service

Play kitchen
There are no pilot holes for the screws so a drill comes in handy but isn’t required.

Adorable Pet Food Feature
We love this "Fun With Friends Kitchen"! We bought it for my son for Christmas a couple of years ago, since he loved to help me in the kitchen. The stove makes cute noises when the pot is placed on it, to make it sound like something is being cooked. My daughter loves to play with him in his kitchen now too. There are so many accessories, and a lot of storage areas on the kitchen for all of them. I love that since my kids and I are not the best at keeping things organized. The storage on this kitchen is a huge plus and makes it so much easier for us to keep everything together! My kids love putting their stuffed pets near the food and water. My husband and I put it together with each other and it was pretty easy. The stickers were very tedious, but I'm a perfectionist when it comes to that. This has been a favorite toy in our house for several years, and a couple of kids!

A lot of stickers to place on kitchen. Refrigerator door hole and peg on bottom too big and when you open the door it falls off.

Pink Kitchen Set
Lovely set up the only down fall is there where no holes for the screws which made the back part keep falling off

Our manufacturing process does allow us to consistently place holes into parts without creating plastic shavings which are considered small parts per the toy safety industry standard for USA. We instead provide location points for screws as shown in the product instructions. The metal screws are self-tapping and when a downward pressure or force is applied onto screw with driving in with screwdriver, they will drive into the plastic and create their own hole. This would be the same or true of driving screws into a wood board without a hole. If needed or preferred, you can use a small nail with a hammer and pound a nail in a bit to create starter hole and then take out install screw. A power screwdriver or rechargeable drill can also be used to aid installing screws but we do not always recommend as driving screws in too far can strip out the plastic and cause other damage.

Simple Kitchen
This product was a little difficult to assemble. Some pieces didn't hold well together, making it very hard to screw in place. Definitely recommend two people for this job. The oven door also doesn't stay closed. Overall, its a simple little kitchen and our toddler seems to enjoy it.
