Low quality inexpensive simple lamp
I like the simplicity of the lamp. The information on it is very confusing. the tag says nothing is needed and can use any kind of shade. i had to buy a harp to use that style shade so kinda deceiving. it's also a bit crooked and made of soft metal so if you try to tighten it, it just ruins the lamp a bit. I also tried to change the side the chain was on and Definitely think it can be done with the right tools but alas I could get it without bending the base more than it already was. You get what you pay for I guess. Good price.

The people stating the base is crooked are correct. I originally had one delivered and it was horribly crooked. I returned it and found it at the store where I found one that wasn’t crooked. However, the pull chain was really hard to pull down. It was constantly stuck which made turning it on and off difficult. Would not recommend. Too bad, because it’s a nice looking base.

Versatile lamp
This could go in any style room, from English country to modern or minimalst. The turned base is classic but the longer line and black finish give it a modern feel at the same time. The pull chain is elegant looking, but I'm hoping it lasts. I have bought several threshold lamps with the same fixture in the past few years and they all broke off eventually. It has to be taken to a lamp repair place, so I'm hopeful this one is sturdier. I like that there are two sizes in this base. The smaller one looks great on a shelf. Also looks good with almost any style shade.
