Description
Named for a long-shuttered beauty parlor that housed the first Stumptown location, Stumptown Hair Bender was the very first blend that Stumptown founder Duane Sorenson introduced to the world. In fact, we still have the Hair Bender sign in our headquarters, watching over us as we roast each batch. Hair Bender is a complex blend featuring coffee from three major growing regions; Central and South America, East Africa, and Indonesia. Its complexity is what allows for a harmonious flavor profile of sweet citrus, milk chocolate, and caramel. We continually taste this blend and each of its components, both on the cupping table as well as espresso, to best maintain the balance of flavors. Nearly 20 years ago, Stumptown Coffee Roasters began roasting exemplary coffee. Headquartered in Portland, Oregon, Stumptown is committed to sourcing, roasting and serving some of the best coffee in the world. Achieving B Corp status in 2018, Stumptown strives to be a leader in sustainability and is focused on making sincere and lasting contributions to the environment as well as to their employees and community.

This is NOT inexpensive coffee. When I received it, it had an experation date less than a week away. I'll order from Stumptown only from now on.

This is coffee is horrible tasting and Folgers would taste better than this. Also, if you like to struggle and get litterally frustrated with trying to open the package, this is the one for you. It nearly took me five minutes to get the bag opened so you can use the folding clips. Worst packaging I have ever experiened in my 66 years of life.

WHY CAN'T I BUY THIS THROUGH DRIVE UP?!?
The coffee itself, 5 stars hands down. Absolutely love it (and holler mountain)! But why cant I do drive up to get it????? I don’t understand. Other coffees can be purchased and obtained via drive up. Even other STUMPTOWN coffees can be obtained via drive up. I give zero stars for this. Hence, my 3-star rating. Please please please make this eligible for drive up!!!!!

Not too happy but it is not Target's fault
I thought I was ordering Stumptown beans. This is ground coffee, and the description says so. I was not aware Stumptown sold ground coffee so I overlooked this important detail. Also, I was trying to give 3 stars. The review program seems to be reverting to 1 star so just wanted to be clear I am giving 3 stars for fulfillment of what I ordered. I highly recommend the bean version of this or any other coffee brand over ground coffee. Loses flavor and goes stale quickly when already ground.

Very tasty but check the date!
Absolutely delicious, my favorite coffee bean! However, I would only buy in-store and not online so I can pick the bag that is closest to its roasting date. The bags Target carries are on the older side, sometimes too close to the expiration date. Not what you want for how much you're paying.
