Love this set! Some reviews stated they didn't get the complete alphabet. We received the whole alphabet plus a few extra letters. The rest of the blocks have numbers or math symbols. The blocks also double as "flash cards" as every block has at least two images of something with the words below them. Since my toddler has gotten bored with the flash cards, these are another great option! Blocks are a lightweight wood. So they won't do much damage if launched by your kid. Also perfect size for little hands. Highly recommend. Also the paint and images appear to be good quality. Doesn't look like the paint will flake or chip unless your kid is really really trying.

I love these blocks! They are high quality wooden blocks with letters, numbers and pictures. I purchased 2 of these sets for Christmas just because I liked the retro wood toy. But it has been a great way for my 4 year old learn how to spell. The paint has not chipped off after some heavy duty tower building and destroying.

These blocks are more than what I expected! They have uppercase, lowercase, and numbers. They have two images on each block with a word that starts with that letter. And they have walls, windows, and doors so that you can build with them also. These are adorable and they seem like they will last.

I miss Roy's of old how about you? I have looked for years for blocks that I had and my brothers in the 70s/80s they were big the paint didn't chip they were easy to grasp and made huge towers for hours of endless fun who else remembers having someone build them a tower and the joy of knocking it down off learning UR ABC and animals too well if UR like me and trying to build those same memories with your children this is a must hace. My son and daughter love them they are easy to stack and grab they don't chip they are smooth enough that baby can put in mouth and I enjoy building towers now and him knocking them down. It's amazing to bring your childhood to ypur children to share in

This is a quality set of blocks. Sounds trivial, but all the letters, numbers, and pictures are relief carved, not just burnt. And nearly every picture has its word cut in as well so their learning value will continue beyond just ABCs and visual recognition. Plus, after Grandpa builds them up, our 2 year old granddaughter loves to knock 'em down.

Wonderful blocks. My almost 2 year old grabd daughter is still playing with them. She is 21 months old and can count to 5, say the first half of her ABC's. Great learning tool. Well made too.

Your browser does not support HTML5 video. A couple other reviewers put up photos showing most sides of the blocks, but I figured I'd try to be as complete as possible. I bought this set because it was the only nice-quality looking wooden blocks that had both uppercase and lowercase letters that I could find.There are 40 blocks in total, 1 of each letter, with uppercase on one side, lowercase on the other, both colored, with duplicates for letters A, C, B, I, O, and T (my photos left out an extra O, I missed it). There are also 5 blocks with colored numbers, 0-9, with 2 numbers per side, along with addition, substraction, plus minus and equals signs, and a seemingly random question mark(the set is lacking a colon, so I assume they weren't going for ternary operations).If you want more numbers, the set also has an additonal 2 of each number on one of the stamped sides for the letters, with 2 plus, minus, times, division and equal signs as well. There's a 3rd 3,5,6, and 9, with 4 1s, due to the duplicate letters.The non-number stamped sides are 2 words and picture to match the block's letter, and one side with construction materials on it (bricks, windows, etc.)The colored number blocks seem to just have arbitrary extra pictures stamped on their sides, while the colored sign blocks seem to have porch decorations, and word-numbers with matching pictures up to six.The blocks are pretty high quality, quite large, and durable. The side's burnt prints are deep enough to feel the texture, while the tops and bottoms have a grated texture in the wood, with the letter/number being elevated and painted.I think for everything else, the pictures speak for themseves. You can see in the video our little 8 month old got a kick out of them when we first opened them, up, but I assume he'll appreciate them far more once he's older.
