This is a great tool for cutting branches. Used it several times. The only problem is the gear wears out that drives the chain Good product but not very long lasting

This Sun Joe pole saw is reliable & easy to use. It's great to get the job done. I'm a single woman in senior years of living, gardening, & thus cutting back the ten oak trees on my property. This pole saw has been the best investment for the property over & over! I can't say enough good about this product.

Basically useless to me. Won't cut 1 1/2" branches without chain continually stopping and motor squealing like a pig.Tension is as described 1/8" I can cut branches quicker with a hand saw.

Product is easy to use but chain is a piece of crap. After cutting some 7 or 8 eight branches that were no more than one or two inches thick and a couple of stumps 2 to 3 inches thick the chain was already dull. I have used chain saws all my life and know when a chain is dull. The chain should not be that dull after such light use. If you don't mind sharpening your chain after each use, then the pole saw works as advertised. Otherwise I would go with something else.

Used the Sun Joe SWJ800E and on my last cut the chain and bar got pinched in the cut. Chain jumped off the bar and on inspection found that one of the links is bent and cant be used again. Contacted the company and they have not bothered to reply or offer a replacement. I have used a chain saw for 25 years and have never had to replace a chain due to a pinch or a chain not being usable.

Sixty year old woman with first chainsaw. Very pleased! Took down the jungle in the front, getting ready to tame the back. I have small volunteer trees, this tool took off branches and tops with aplomb. Waiting on a chainsaw to finish the job. Not so hard to use, though I do a lot of cabinet making with big scary tools that may have transferred.
