Superjail is fantastic.
Here in all its glory is the frenzied, stylized, cartoon violence of the first season of Adult Swim's glorious Superjail! I have been a fan of AS since its inception, but in recent years have been a bit skeptical of their stranger offerings. Shows like this and The Venture Bros have helped me to remember why I became a fan in the first place. Don't let the simple animation fool you, the jokes are sharp and the sheer amount of action going on at any one time is enough to satisfy any action/comedy fans. The disc itself is somewhat lacking in the extra features department, it would have been nice to have a little more content to help round out the DVD. Overall though, this manic take on a murderous jail run by a bizarre and hilarious Willy Wonka is definitely worth checking out.
