New recipe is GROSS. The texture is off. Pretzels are dirt cheap to make, why change the recipe? and make them smaller too?

Went to Target for my favorite pretzels and almost didn't find them due to new packaging. After baking two pretzels, I thought maybe I had received a stale batch but now I realize this is the "new recipe". Horrible! No longer chewy and no more pretzel taste - might as well be chewing on cardboard. Higher price too! Throwing out the rest and will never buy again.

I agree with most of the recent reviewers that state the new recipe is awful! The outer shell texture is way off—too soft. Hardly any flavor. Please change it back!

New recipe is disgusting. Two grocery stores I've been to in the past week have had them on clearance, so I'm sure they're losing money. But they seem to double down on the misstep when asked.

New recipe sucks! Flavor and texture is all wrong.

Used to love them and buy them often but they changed the recipe for the worse. They are less like an authentic pretzel and more of a junky Americanized knock off. And to add insult to injury they also have more calories. I won’t be buying these anymore.

They ruined these with a new recipe. They no longer taste like SuoerPretzels. They just taste like shaped white bread - totally bland. Incredibly disappointing. Guess Auntie Anne’s going to get my business for frozen pretzels from now on.

I had loved these pretzels for over 30 years but the new recipe is gross. Why would the company change something that was perfect? I hope the company will consider bringing the original recipe back or make both versions available. I couldn't even eat one of these, they taste like chewy dough.

The yellow box, new recipe Super Pretzel does not look good or taste good. After baking the new recipe pretzel in my toaster oven, the pretzel looks shriveled and unappetizing compared to the old recipe. The old recipe baked perfectly in my toaster oven. Worst of all, the pretzel tastes dry and does not taste the same (it's worse). Do not recommend the yellow box, new recipe.

awful change

I was a huge fan of these pretzels in the past. No idea why they changed the recipe. Why change something that wasn't broken? The new recipe is a big no for me.

Totally bummed they taste nothing like the original. They don’t get crispy. They’re like oddly soft almost like they’re stale.

They recently changed the recipe (yellow box) and the taste and texture is very different. I don't like the change and feel like the $1.25 frozen pretzels that the dollar store sells are now a better option.

Hate the new recipe

They didn’t just change the box for the worse; they totally changed the snack itself. They no longer look like the ones pictured and they no longer taste like they always have. There’s no crispness to the outer shell. Instead of being soft inside, they’re dry and crumbly. It’s beyond disappointing.

These are so much worse since the new recipe. They're mealy, fall apart into terrible crumbs, and just don't have the integrity to even hold onto the salt nicely anymore.

This new recipe is terrible! They don't even taste like pretzels nor have the crust of a pretzel. They are incredibly sweet too. I agree with others who said they are mushy. At the same time, they are very dry. 4/6 of the pretzels in my box came broken. The other two broke while getting them out of the bag to heat up. In 30 years of purchasing these, I have never had that happen before. Complete failure all around. There are plenty of other brands with similar products that are far better so that's a wrap on Super Pretzel for me yall
