Like most people, I have gone through my share of adversity in life. Everyone has a story, and we all experience life for the good and the bad. This is a story of a regular guy who came out the other side with new purpose, new perspective, and tried to learn from each experience. When reflecting back on my life, it became clear that in every case, the common theme to making it through my adversity was the ability to surrender. That is, to give in, not give up.
