    I am taking this for hair loss, because my dermatologist gave me a prescription for finasteride containing this also, was many years ago, they said there was some evidence that pygeum helps with hair loss. I don't know for sure how much good the pygeum is doing, I am also taking many other products for hair loss, I believe the cumulative result of all the medications is good.

    I am a retired RN with BPH. I took Terazosin for years to control it until I could no longer metabolize it. I am now trying with Dong Quai, nettle root an pygeum to control the size of my prostate. The danger is, if it doesn't work, you create back pressure on your kidneys which can be very dangerous. Like everything else in life, it is just an experiment. I find Swansons to be a first class outfit.

    Relieved (but in a different way)

    It took a while for the full benefits to appear but I'm no longer going to the can three times a night or having "mishaps" during the day. It's changed my life.

    Daily Urgencies Reduced by 60%!

    This medication, Pygeum, seems to work for the most part. I seem to have fewer urgencies, however while I have gone 1/2 without any urgency, there are times when it seems like it is not working at all and the urgencies come about once per hour, less frequent when I am asleep. I am following the daily regime without fail for the most part. I am uncertain what this product is doing for me, but urgencies have been cut by at least 60%.

    Seems to be helping

    didnt work for me

    tried the 100 caps 500mg Pygeum for 10 days and I didn't have any relief. so I added 120 caps 250 mg stinging nettles root for the next 20 days and up the dosage to 2 caps of Pygeum 3 times a day and 2 caps stinging nettles root 3 times a day. Once I added the SNR I had some minor relief at about the 27 day. then I ran out of pygeum. So I re ordered a different king of Pygeum 120 caps with 400mg/100mg of the extract.So as of yet no relief. but hopefully when I get the new pygeum with extract it will help.
