SWISSGEAR Cascade Hardside Large Checked Suitcase

I bought the suitcase just 3 months ago, used it 2 times. One of the arms of the telescoping handle just was not there when I tried to pull it up, and the other one was not attached to it. I was not worried at all, because it’s Swissgear, (must be good) they had a 10 year warranty paperwork attached to the suitcase when you buy it. A 10 year warranty! That must mean they really stand behind the product!!! No, not at all. I reached out to the warranty department, it’s been weeks now I still haven’t heard from them. I even tried reaching out to them again. Filled out their stupid forms, etc. took all the pictures. now I understand they are just ignoring me $159.00 it’s a lot of money to just throw away for a couple months! Unfortunately I bought a back up suitcase for a quick trip from this brand only smaller. Thinking that they were going to do me right on my first suitcase and I would just have a nice nesting collection! Nothing against Target, my problem is completely with SwissGear and I will never purchase another product from this horrible company again, they lie about their warranties and their product!!! They get irritated when trying to contact you about the warranty as well! Only reason I’m even writing a review is to hopefully save someone from wasting their money on this horrible suitcase and horrible company!!!

This piece of luggage cracked the first time I flew. I tried to reach out to SWISSGEAR and they didn't even respond. Will no longer purchase anything they sell.

Disliked how it broke quickly after two trips and my warranty claim was denied due to “normal use”. Suitcase didn’t even last six months.

Looked nice and rolled nice. Solid handle. This was a brand new suitcase taken on 1 trip one-way. Did not hold up to normal travel stress. Saying this confidently as we travelled with 3 suitcases total (other 2 have had several trips) and this is the only one that fell apart or had damage. Pieces fell off. Case cracked in various places. This was not a case of airline abuse and their fault. This is the quality and design of this suitcase. Paid way too much for this to break from one trip. Very disappointed. Would not recommend.

The side rubber piece snapped within three uses. I’m nervous for my flight home because I’m hoping the luggage will hold.

Holds a ton and glides super easy!

Used this for the first time and it cracked in the corner, probably won't be able to use it again. I see many people also had this issue, yet you blame TSA. Seems to be an issue with the quality of the suitcase vs handling by TSA.

Damaged on first trip, poor quality, cheap ABS material. Will try to see if it is covered under warranty. But not worth it for the price at all.

DO NOT GET THIS SUITCASE. I've had it for less than a year and that black part of the corner came off at some point while traveling. I checked it in one piece and it came out of baggage claim broken. I didn't worry too much at the time because I remembered Swiss Gear claimed it had a warranty and I still had my receipt from the purchase. Well, that warranty doesn't cover damage during travel. What else could the warranty possibly actually cover then??? So apparently I was supposed to make a claim with the airport at the airport at the time of the incident or within 24 hours. Which is too late for that now. Cheap suitcase. Useless warranty. Just buy something else.

That was a lot of money for it to be severely damaged on the first leg of the first trip. This is the first hardcase bag I've ever purchased and the first bag I've ever owned to be damaged in over 20+ years of flying. And it happened on the very first flight! Very unimpressed by the quality and do not recommend.

I bought this for a domestic flight. It is not sturdy whatsoever I understand that bags get thrown in TSA but by the time I picked it up it had a broken wheel and it was cracked. For the price of this, I would think that it would be more reliable and sturdy.

Not sturdy like I thought it would be. I hope it doesn’t break or fall apart right away. It does look great though, but I would rather it be tough. Also it already had scratches before even using it.

I liked the blue color. I disliked the large size.

Durable and great for check-in luggage. Dangerous though with the amount of space that can be filled and not be over the weight limit haha

My husband travels for work (flies weekly) and this suitcase lasted a year. The one time I over packed it, it busted. Don’t pack it too heavy and it will last. We bought another one.

Good looking, matches the suitcase I already have. Lightweight and quite sturdy. I haven't used it yet though - pressure to write this review began almost immediately after purchase so I really don't know what it's like to use the thing for travel!

Very sturdy and amazing quality. Perfect for travel and a fair price.
