What I like about this bug catcher kit is it gets your family excited to get off the electronics and be a part of nature. We had fun venturing out looking for butterflies, roly-polies, Ladybugs, and dragonflies. It's also an educational experience because you get to learn about the habitats that these bugs live in. This bug catcher kit comes with three accessories to help catch the bugs safely, it also has a light and magnify glass built into so you can get a good look at the bugs. This bug catcher kit has two ways to place the bugs into depending on the size of the bug which I thought was convenient.

I got this since my youngest really likes bugs. Moreso when they're contained, granted. This seemed like a great thing get them. It turned out it really was.The capturing ball scoop tongs are really too small for my hands but my kid and my partner can use them pretty efficiently for catching spiders and bugs that they like to relocate outside the house. The habitat works okay enough. We had a large water spider in there for a bit. It was really cool being able to "handle" the spider and be able to look at it knowing we weren't going to hurt each other. The magnifying lens is pretty mediocre but it does work okay.I will note the main door for the habitat will pop open pretty easily if it's dropped. It only has a bit of a friction latch to keep it closed. Nothing most bugs will be able to push open but... yeah... I had it taped closed with above said spider haha.I would be more upset but for the price this is pretty fair quality. I might go for something nicer if I get another one like this, but for most kids it'll be plenty durable and fun I'm sure.

My 8 yr old son loves bugs and animals and crawlies. Needless to say, we've collected a fair amount of bugs for observation in glass jar and Tupperware. I've been wanting to get a decent observatory container for the purpose of catching and viewing bugs. This is a nice little setup, it's got a magnifying glass feature to really get a good look at the different creatures you may catch, and it also has an led light feature as well. The box also contained a bug scooper, and a water dropper to leave some water for the crawlie creatures the kids may capture. Lastly, it came with a little booklet that introduced the Terra Squad characters and showcased some additional bug catching products. My son was so excited to receive this!

With summer kicking in this is a must have for any bug loving kiddos! My 3 and 7 year old LOVE this thing and love collecting bugs in it! Great activity to keep them busy and happy! Just make sure you let the bugs out when done!

I am so happy with this little bug catcher. Your little ones will be able to view the bugs from the top, bottom, and sides of the container. The ends of the bug catcher also have a little viewing areas. One end has a magnifying glass so they can see the bugs closer and the other side has a door that opens as well as a little window that you can turn to open to put bugs in if you don't want to open the entire door. I just love how it has a little light in it and I know this is going to be so much fun at night with my kids during a camping trip. This is a very creative toy and I'm happy to highly recommend it.

I bought this for my 6 year old grandson who loves catching bugs. I love everything about this; two different openings-large one and very small one, a light to see in dimmer areas, a magnifier on one end to get a close view of the critters. The catcher it comes with is perfect for getting bugs. And it comes with a dropper to put water in the container. I may be enjoying this more than my grandson!! DEFINITELY recommend this.
