Eliot: The Pattern in the Carpet by Elisabeth Schneider offers a searching exploration of Eliot's poetry and criticism through what she calls "double vision" the simultaneous awareness of each poem as an autonomous work and as part of the larger, developing pattern of a poet's lifetime achievement.
