This flexible range is backed by a constant f/4 maximum aperture that helps prioritize portability and make this an ideal walkaround lens.

The lens design is also well-suited to multimedia use with the inclusion of a VXD (Voice-coil extreme-torque Drive) linear motor for quick and quiet autofocus performance.
