It is relatively easy to assemble. It feels sturdy (though there are a couple of hinges I wonder about). I am able to put my laptop, keyboard, monitor, and mouse all on the fully expanded desktop surface and still have room to spare. I use the shelves for stowing the aforementioned items when I collapse the desktop, which allows me to roll all of the equipment out of site when I am done using it for the day. This was a great purchase. The price was reasonable too.
