A: Yes - You can tare multiple times for multiple ingredients. The user can keep adding weight and tare until the overload symbol O-LD appears. Basically, the user can keep taring until it hits the 11lb capacity.

Q: What is the time to auto-off? My current scale turns off too quickly between adding ingredients
A: This scale has an auto-off time of 1 minute if there is no weight on the platform and with no change in weight. If there is a weight on the platform, the auto-off time is 3 minutes with no change in weight. In this case, since it is between adding ingredients, there would be a weight on the platform and the auto-off time would be 3 minutes. Q: How is the stainless tray connected to the unit--does it snap in place? Are there screws that must be removed to get it off to wash it?
A: Hi Pamela, The stainless platform snaps on and off for easy cleaning. (No screws or anything). It is a great food scale!

Q: How do I remove the tray? It is very secure and I don't want to break it by exerting alot of pressure to remove it.

Q: how is the scale calibrated? do I need a set of calibration weights?
A: The scale is already calibrated for accuracy. As long as the batteries are fresh and the scale is on a flat weighing surface, the scale will show an accurate reading.
