Q: How do I remove the tray? It is very secure and I don't want to break it by exerting alot of pressure to remove it.

Q: how is the scale calibrated? do I need a set of calibration weights?

A: The scale is already calibrated for accuracy. As long as the batteries are fresh and the scale is on a flat weighing surface, the scale will show an accurate reading.

It’s a great little scale, I’ve had it for a few Weeks now and it is very helpful in measuring our correct portions of food. Also, the top metal plate comes off for a nice and easy wash (I hand wash mine with mild soap)

The scale does not provide the correct weight. I put salt on the scale, which told me 0g; I added more salt, and it kept saying 0g. Removed salt and cleaned it off. Pressed tare to zero out and try again. Same thing. I moved another counter, and it said 2g, then 1g. Completely off! Returning device.

Was excited about this scale because the top is removable, however, there’s a gap between the top and bottom of the scale. I can definitely see food getting stuck there over time. Will be returning for something more hygienic.
