A: Hello Kat - We appreciate your interest in this Teen Channel Seam Headboard. There is a photo on the listing showing a metal bar across the back. You will receive an additional metal bar which will bolt to your wall. This is called a "French Cleat". The two cleats will lock together. I hope this helps! – Joe
