Review Quotes
Our family absolutely loves this book series! We are so grateful to have a resource that helps our bio kids understand so many facets of foster care. We've had 6 little ones over the last year that have come and gone, and the week we got Braver Than Me one of our little girls left and it was the perfect resource for our son to have in processing this loss. Thank you Rhonda Wagner for writing this series, and helping families, friends and kiddos understand foster care! -CM S.
As foster parents we are given hours and hours of training before being licensed. Our kids are just as much a part of that journey, but there isn't any training for them. That is left up to us as parents. Since we have so many questions ourselves it can be hard to know what to say or how to answer their questions.
The Joy of Avery book series helps fill this need. It's a great way to start conversations and help familiarize kids with foster care. It is also a great resource for extended family, neighbors, friends or anyone else that is part of your foster care community. - Kessie J.
