About the Book
"Did you know that Marian Consecration is biblical? With roots stretching all the way back to Genesis? Just as Jesus is the only Way to the Father (Jn 14:6), the sole mediator between God and man (1 Tm 2:5), so Mary is the primary mediator and intercessor before her Son. For, by virtue of the grace given to her as the Mother of God, she is the "Queen of Heaven and Earth." In this timely book, Shane Kapler uncovers the biblical basis for Marian Consecration. He demonstrates how entrusting oneself to Our Lady-and living this devotion through practices such as praying the Rosary, wearing the Brown Scapular, and keeping the Five First Saturdays-is firmly rooted and foreshadowed in the Old and New Testaments. In Mary, we see the heights to which each of us is called: to be without blemish (Eph 5:27), glorified in body and soul (1 Cor 15:51-53), and to share Christ's heavenly reign (Rv 3:21). Discover how, like Saint Joseph and Saint John the Apostle, we are invited to share Mary's interior life, to fully surrender ourselves to the action of the Holy Spirit and begin loving Jesus with her Immaculate Heart. More than ever, the popes have recognized Our Lady of Fatima's urgent call-as it was in 1917-for consecration and devotion to the Immaculate Heart as a reiteration of the Gospel, a plea for Christians to enflesh the message of Scripture. "Blessed are the pure [or 'immaculate'] in heart, for they shall see God" (Mt 5:8)"--Book Synopsis
Did you know that Marian Consecration is biblical? With roots stretching all the way back to Genesis?
Just as Jesus is the only Way to the Father (Jn 14:6), the sole mediator between God and man (1 Tm 2:5), so Mary is the primary mediator and intercessor before her Son. By virtue of the grace given to her as the Mother of God, she is the "Queen of Heaven and Earth."
In this timely book, Shane Kapler uncovers the biblical basis for Marian Consecration. He demonstrates how entrusting oneself to Our Lady--and living this devotion through practices such as praying the Rosary, wearing the Brown Scapular, and keeping the Five First Saturdays--is firmly rooted and foreshadowed in the Old and New Testaments. In Mary, we see the heights to which each of us is called: to be without blemish (Eph 5:27), be glorified in body and soul (1 Cor 15:51-53), and share Christ's heavenly reign (Rv 3:21).
Discover how, like Saint Joseph and Saint John the Apostle, we are invited to share in Mary's interior life, to fully surrender ourselves to the action of the Holy Spirit, and to begin loving Jesus with her Immaculate Heart.
More than ever, the popes have recognized Our Lady of Fatima's call--as urgent now as it was in 1917--for consecration and devotion to the Immaculate Heart as a reiteration of the Gospel, a plea for Christians to enflesh the message of Scripture.
"Blessed are the pure [or 'immaculate'] in heart, for they shall see God" (Mt 5:8)
Review Quotes
"As sure to captivate minds as to inflame hearts and souls, The Biblical Roots of Marian Consecration is a masterful and uniquely rewarding spiritual journey for all whose hearts would blaze with love for our Blessed Mother and her Holy Son. Hail, Mary! Blessed be Jesus Christ! Shane Kapler draws us closer to both of them."
--Kevin Vost, Psy.D., author of St. Albert the Great: Champion of Faith and Reason
"God has always loved us, even when we least deserved His love. Shane Kapler surveys the whole Bible, Old Testament and New, to demonstrate this fact. From the dawn of creation, the Lord has been waiting to tell His Beloved Disciples 'Behold your mother.' You and I need this message. We need this book."
--Mike Aquilina, author of A Year with the Angels: Daily Meditations with the Messengers of God
"The Biblical Roots of Marian Consecration will help strengthen faithful Catholics' knowledge and appreciation of Mary and enlighten those who might be struggling with the Church's Marian teachings. After reading this book, one will even more readily ask for Mary's intercession, who always encourages us to 'do whatever He tells you' (Jn 2:5)."

"Years ago, when I was making my way back to the Catholic Church, a friend of mine, a well-known apologist, said something that sticks with me even today: 'There is nothing in the Church that contradicts Scripture and nothing in Scripture that contradicts the Church.' This came to mind as I was reading Shane's beautiful book as this saying is certainly true concerning our love and devotion to the Blessed Mother. The Biblical Roots of Marian Consecration will help strengthen faithful Catholics' knowledge and appreciation of Mary and enlighten those who might be struggling with the Church's Marian teachings. After reading this book, one will even more readily ask for Mary's intercession, who always encourages us to 'do whatever He tells you'(Jn 2:5)." --Teresa Tomeo, Syndicated Talk Show Host, Best Selling Author
