About the Author

Annette Marie is the best-selling author of The Guild Codex, an expansive collection of interwoven urban fantasy series ranging from thrilling adventure to hilarious hijinks to heartrending romance. Her other works include YA urban fantasy series Steel & Stone, its prequel trilogy Spell Weaver, and romantic fantasy trilogy Red Winter.

Her first love is fantasy, but fast-paced adventures, bold heroines, and tantalizing forbidden romances are her guilty pleasures. She proudly admits she has a thing for dragons and aspires to include them in every book.

Annette lives in the frozen winter wasteland of Alberta, Canada (okay, it's not quite that bad) and shares her life with her husband and their furry minion of darkness--sorry, cat--Caesar. When not writing, she can be found elbow-deep in one art project or another while blissfully ignoring all adult responsibilities.

First introduced to the Guild Codex via grave-shift audiobook sessions, she soon sought fellow fans online, where at the behest of her best friend Erica, she posted drawings of her favorite characters. Somehow, those doodles led her to working with Annette herself! A lifelong fan of all things fantasy, Ashleigh is thrilled to be creating art for this and future projects.

When not drawing into the wee hours of the morning, she can be found frolicking around renaissance fairs in fairy wings, trying to stay cool in the scorching deserts of Southern California, and creating elaborate cardboard mansions for her roommate's cats.
